How much of this stuff do you think is just lost? Keys destroyed, holders died without telling anyone they had it, hardware wallets broken, etc. We are likely dealing with a max supply below 20.5M depending on how little people cared for it in its infancy. Discuss.

The only way bitcoin could 'work' is, for one of its examples, a store owner is regulated to only transact in bitcoin if it ever replaced fiat, except here it has become fiat because the owner cant accept litecoin. See that is the only way to tell in the future; if people attach 'fiat' after every time they say bitcoin they know it has succeeded in what it was destined to do, i.e not work per se but need government to make it work as they are notoriously unwise in the free market. The way to tell bitcoin has failed in the future is when we don't mean fiat when we say bitcoin, because now there are no regulations to not accepting an alternative source like litecoin. In that way we understand why bitcoin has no use case, in the former its use case is determined by regulating a terrible clunky chunk of data, in the latter case bitcoins use is only to make you more money, because you will always use better alternatives that the free market made exist. And to counteract the popular assumption in store of value, one counter example is thinking if there is a useful alternative to bitcoin, it means it wont crash in price, therefore there would mean two store of values existing because of the beliefs in alternatives; so it would be a slow wealth transfer to the more useful cryptocurrency, this wealth transfer i predict, will be excruciatingly painful for bitcoin belief systems, because it will happen very slow, very stubbornly, and theres nothing to do to stop such an invisible force or the 'invisible hand' if you will.

Only success case is that imposed regulations use bitcoin as fiat, and anywhere they accept bitcoin they accept litecoin aswell, IYKYK.

Was 41 down to 30 the big one? I have a decent amount of cash on the sidelines waiting for the dip into the mid 20s, but I'm starting to get a little nervous the correction's already in desu.

Is this the bulletproof way to get rich in the long term? I'm new to this but from what I understand the price of bitcoin tripples or quadruples every 4 years following its halving cycle...so if I put 100k now into it im guaranteed to take out ~300-400k in 3-4 years? What's the catch?

Do you think BTC recovery is set to last /biz/?

What factors are needed for it to push $100k by the end of this year? Will traders continue to gobble it up at every chunk, or will consumer interest drive things forward? What are the chances we see ETH or BTC threatened by quantum computing or rival currencies?

way too much euphoria on this board, price action is getting too volatile... looking a lot like 2017 right now. Sorry altfags, you aren't getting a run this time since this was mostly driven by Paypal and big institutions buying BTC.

Was fun getting another 4x on my money, but I'm out. Good luck.

This coin literally presents its facts as already been compromised.

Paypal wallets, Wasabi, JoinMarket (two I just found out now with their purpose of providing anonymity just so you can exchange through their middle), whats the one Adam Back backs btw?

Bitcoin is an indirect hedge to the companies overleveraged in this shitcoin.

"realestate literally wont crash in 2008, how can it??"

realistically what is the real value? this might seem like a rhetorical question, but what do other countries view the price as bitcoin as? if the USD really did collapse there is nothing that is a standard to bitcoin as much as USD's value is.

i think there is no doubt bitcoin would easily crash at economic decline, but at its worst, when usd is non existent 1 bitcoin is still worth 1 bitcoin. will you be there the day bitcoin crashes under 1k? we already saw bitcoin go to 0 if not for bitmex crashing on march 9th
