I'm applying for a bank teller job, and I think there's actually a pretty good chance I'll get it. Four questions:

1) Do tellers work seated? There is no way I can possibly stand up in one place for 8 hours.
2) When the bank is slow and there are no costumers, can I pull out my Kindle (or if that's too conspicuous, a small smartphone) from my suit pocket and read e-books? I'm gonna be bored out of my mind otherwise.
3) Are there any opportunities for advancement beyond going from part-time teller to full-time teller?
4) Can CCW holders bring their firearm to work?

I'm applying for a bank teller job. Normally I would expect it to be another example of the resume black hole, but I've got a contact on the inside this time so there is a non-trivial chance that I'll get hired. Two questions:

Any bank tellers here? I want to be one to pay for tuition, do I need experience or just say I'm good with computers and math?
