I don't know, it was interesting to me. A lot of the ads are crypto-tier but they clearly have a limited supply of advertisers at the moment.

>it'd be nicer if they were proper brands.

100% agreed. Imagining what proper brands and marketers could do with this BAT advertising system is scary. The landing pages have insane possibilities.

>companies will never switch to BAT/brave

What do you mean? For advertising? If you've worked in the online advertising sector you already know it's rife with fraud. That's straight up undeniable. Google and Facebook are at the heart of the online advertising industry, and while they have the biggest outreach, they also induce the most fraud.

Companies are going to switch to advertising where:
1. It's cheapest
2. It reaches the most amount of people
3. The data proving it reaches people can be held accountable (Google and Facebook fail massively at this due to fraud)

Brave Ads have such an insanely good idea behind them (i.e. incentivizing the user to watch the ad) that companies are naturally attracted to the project, if anything just to see if it works. Brave already has major advertisers on board. I've been using Brave BETA and you get some ads from Amazon specific searches, meaning Amazon is all but ready to purchase a round of advertising using BAT. Brave just needs to continue racking up the user numbers and they'll get more and more interest from companies.

I think this horrible new feature on Chrome where you HAVE to be logged into your google account is going to turn some people away. It's fucking cancerous that Google is trying to track everybody's every move online just to fucking data mine the entire internet and shill their disgusting tracker ads.

As people slowly start using Brave more and more, I'm just hoping Brave can implement BAT in more easy to use ways. People need to be using BAT without even realizing they're using it, it needs to be seamless. Like you watch some ads, you accumulate some BAT, you donate to your dumb YouTuber or Twitch stream etc. without really having to invest any time or effort into figuring it out. THAT will be true Crypto adoption, paving a whole new way for people to earn/pay money online.

Fuck I'm jelly, wish I had this kind of money for BAT. I'm at around 6k with a ~$.40 average buy-in. Wishing I had more to put into BAT when it was in the 20 cents range.

I love Brave, I have it on my mobile, windows desktop and Mac laptop. I've had issues with the browser such as:
>Twitch.tv didn't work for about a month
>I currently can't save images from 4chan
>it froze on my laptop and I had to reinstall

But overall, I love it so much more than Chrome. That extra layer of Crypto being actually used for something is fucking awesome and exciting. Chrome seems to boring in comparison. Once Brave 1.0 comes out I might just completely uninstall Chrome and try to wipe all my information from Google.

As for BAT, I'm bullish because I follow the BAT Project reddit pretty closely and they are dropping incredible hints all the time. I'd go into details about what I've heard but I've found it useless to do on /biz/ because it seems like people either love BAT or hate it - I'm not going to change anybody's mind. But I'm incredibly bullish on BAT, might not be a big thing until 2019 but it's an exciting project for sure.

If you take a look at their subreddit, they're constantly talking about incorporating it into other browsers/platforms. They heavily emphasize that Brave is just the beginning of the project and that BAT has many possibilities outside the Brave browser. Exciting stuff.

There are like unlimited uses in the BAT model, think about it

advertisers buy BAT for top tier ad campaigns -> you get paid in BAT for ads -> you use the BAT for whatever you want -> ad infinitum

Online games could take donations then pay out prizes in BAT, Online content (WSJ, local newspaper, etc.) could have option of getting rid of the paywall through BAT, >>9611395
another option, etc. etc.

Brave/BAT's biggest hurdle is 1. finishing the project and 2. adoption. The project idea itself is brilliant though

I believe in BAT but until it breaks $1, I don't see a point of posting about it on /biz/

The majority of /biz/ fomos into coins when they're hot, and BAT hasn't really been hot in a while. If it gets a coinbase addition then we'll see where it goes.

And this pic wasn't cryptojennie, but it was from a video posted on the BAT reddit. It's from a vid of Big Brain Brendan speaking in South Korea, where he says "Some of these companies may be trials with BAT ads"
