I actually acquired 900k in real estate this year from a relative, I only had to pay the capital gains tax which was 168k but I took out a loan and they gave it to me even with zero work history because I had collateral, the 20k I had was saving up every dollar I got from doing odd jobs for family and saving up anything I got from holidays, even flip a few electronics.

I'm only focusing though on the money I invested that i saved myself, my inheritance wont ever be gambled with and iv got more coming my way in the next few years.
