Borrowing, borrowed shares forces them to counterfeit a security. This has RICO written all over it, whether they meant to do it, or not. There should NEVER be a case where anyone can borrow more than 100% of shares registered with the SEC. What's the point of stock issuance if brokers and banks can just counterfeit it with debt? It's total bullshit.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Kushner was behind this.

>If a short covers can they immediately short it again?
Generally, yes. However, that wouldn't make sense if you're already in 140%. You would still lose money. They still haven't satisfied the shorts from $18 starting December 31. $18 was the peek. So, they have shorts that are lower.

If the rumors are true, they put a kabash on shorting this stock as a counter measure. Regular trades only. You saw the news Ameritrade and other change the rules for GME; that's what they changed. No more short selling.

The higher this goes, the wider the gap up the shorts lose on the buy back to cover. It's pottery.

People are buying GME because they like the company. The Public finally had enough, and wanted to own all the shares. The price is because it's all the owners trading among themselves. Why is this a mystery?

Yes, they're way over extended. Hedge fund managers screwed up big.

If you're talking about GME, the hedge fund managers did this to themselves. They over extended.

They did it to themselves by over extending the short sales. This was bound to happen. It's called a short squeeze, and the hedge funds put themselves in this position. No one is to blame, except the hedge fund manager.

There's no more shares to buy. The higher this goes, the higher the interest is they have to pay back. The longer this goes, the more they lose. Their hands are tied as long as the public holds the shares and trades between themselves.

Short is over extended. The hedge funds made a grave error and will pay dearly. This is squarly on them. Investment is exactly the opposite of borrowing. It's a Black Swan event. Like stripping your election code to invite fraud.
