He's a pajeet who's never managed anyone before me. He is great technically but horrible management/people skills. this is my first proper job since graduating uni and 2nd manager at the same company.

He's pretty apathetic, with any personal circumstances me or anyone has, all he cares about is doing the work he's told me to do but also tells me to "take initiative" on other tasks, and when i try to take the initiative he basically shoots it down as "well that's expected of you"

A lot of the time as well he asks me to do xyz and then a week or so later he'll lambaste me for not doing abc. It feels like he's setting me up for failure if I'm honest and I know other senior devs have found him v disagreeable.

any tips for dealing with this arsehole ?
