There are many books about that.
Choose one.
Then there is valuation. "Beyond earnings" does a good job explaining that.

There's also sentiment and expectations. This factor can get pretty wild. See TSLA for example. The price has no connection to its fundamentals.

1. TA works(sometimes) because other people do it too
2. If you do it, choose something widespread like meme lines and blocks. TA is not science.
TA is art.
3. Forget about indicators.
4. Backtesting is forced selection bias.

This is somewhat important to know in order to get a feeling about price action.

The most reliable way to make money is playing fundamental catalysts backed up by TA and sentiment.
I don't get people who buy a stock as a long term investment. You can't predict the future. See pic related. Even relatively short term predictions are often ridiculously wrong.

All in all: You should know the theoretical basics although praxis is completely different, but that doesn't mean that theory is worthless. Experience is king.
