Got into an argument with my family about college. I personally feel like it's a waste of time, especially with automation on the rise and the imminent market crash. I want to show them that I can make it by investing, and forge my own path. Half the time whenever I bring investing up to them they think I want to be a stock broker placing other people's money for them.
Am I being retarded by trying to go down this path, or am I going to make it? (Finally after 1.5 years of investing in the stock market I doubled my money, and am accelerating my gains at a rapid pace. At first I lost 30%, then I gained it all back and doubled.
