Good tips, i'll try to find my own niche. But frogs are so incredibly poor it's enraging.
I'm strongly considering putting my auction titles in english to attract US buyers.

Thanks for all the ideas, it's appreciated fren! Have a good time wherever you are going tonight.

Kek, i thought i was the only one going on alibaba to check for the common dates of each fake. Based fren.
It's true chinks are pretty lazy, it's very often one date, one mint per coin they repro you then see sold on many alibaba shops. Well.. to their defense, they don't claim to sell anything but "fun" copies, it's not like they try to autistically forge things and pass it as the real deal. Most their fakes looks like crap. It's the same for MTG/pokemon cards, if they really wanted to, they probably could achieve much more convincing stuff, but then, why would they bother selling them as copy? To me it means they simply don't want to, scamming isn't their business, they leave that to less scrupulous westerners buying their stuff.
And it's also pretty smart thinking, if they achieved impossible to differentiate pokemon cards, then the market for high-end singles would collapse, which is counterproductive to them.

That's what i thought, it's perfectly understandable you don't want all your secret techs out in the open. You already are generous enough as it is.
Speaking of which, i just remembered you wanted to create an international guide for silver cheapies a while back, to help the new scrapbros. My business is pretty calm rn, i'm gonna write my modest contribution to your project this week.

And even if unlikely, any psycho can come in and rape you at night and nobody will hear your screams.

woaw, very nice stuff fren! The handles are very impressive, it looks like high quality craftmanship. I'm confused by the hallmarks, it looks like a mix of english and dutch lol.

You're welcome. And even if the lesser did a mistake, it probably wasn't intentional, it's quite a mess to figure out old hallmarks sometimes, especially when time took it's toll on the marks.
You can be pretty certain the item itself and the hallmarks are genuine, being from 1783 instead of 1740 doesn't impact the value in any significant way, it's XVIIIth c. silver in both cases.
From my newbie perspective, the tankard is in excellent condition (which is pretty rare), the hallmarks are in great shape too, the design is typical of the period and visually appealing.

That's a wonderful piece. All that said, as a penny pincher, i find the price a bit too steep for my tastes. I think on an ebay auction, this piece would probably sell for 2/2.20€/gr, so around 620-680 bux. Over 900 is more the price who would be asked by a specialized auction house or an antique dealer.
Maybe you can try to negociate a bit the pricetag?
