>This "echoes" description of yours is no better than any other TA handwaving
You make no sense, the dynamics of new short positions piling in at $40 for 3 weeks is not that hard to understand, and I didn't invent the concept of a multi-leg squeeze. The only one-and-done squeeze I've ever seen was Volkswagen and that was based on entirely different mechanics.
>Cohen tweets a fucking emoji
>algos pick up on it
Yes, I have to admit this could be a sufficient explanation by itself. Until you look at the speed of the trigger, the exact AH/PM pattern, I think you're missing the full explanation and falling into a trap of blaming actors who are ultimately meaningless in determining prices.
For me this distinction is important because it determines it my exit targets on similar plays. I used this knowledge last month to get out at 20x profit instead of bagholding. Although right now I'm mostly scalping high vola options so it doesn't really matter.
Thanks for the feedback anon.

I'm glad I trimmed enough to justify this overnight hold.
Rolling for an APRN type squeeze continuing tomorrow.

absolutely do not base your exit strategy on something like a volkswagen squeeze or you'll potentially be left losing a lot of your unrealized gains like every single time GME has spiked the past few months
Trade with the assumption that this is just a momentum/FOMO spike. There's absolutely no reason for institutional short sellers to cover themselves into an infinite squeeze. They can afford to cover gradually over time (if they ever give up)

Everyone seems to have trimmed enough profits that their GME position is all house money, that's the smart way to ride this up safely.
So far it's not shaping up like APRN's squeeze so beware and treat it like a momentum spike

oh you will fucking know
if it does happen, call in sick on day 2 and day 3 because an hour difference could be a difference of +100%

APRN triggered an infinite squeeze because of a fucking tweet or something

it's ridiclous, APRN did an infinite squeeze because of a single tweet and people went too crazy with the speculation
AND that one is a dumpster fire of a company

meanwhile these shorts would rather keep paying 50% annual interest on almost 1 billion now to keep their position

i wish i could collect 50% interest on my shares

65 million volume today
what the fuck do you think

if those weren't shorts covering, then the short squeeze later on is going to be even more catastrophic for short sellers
if those were shorts covering, then this is only the beginning

i get the feeling only retail short sellers were covering today though

I have a similar strategy, stop losses once I hit price target around $20, but I'd like to ride it up as much as I can.
$50 was the moonshot, and I'm half convinced that people are spouting $100, $200, and even fucking $400 kek by that delusional seekingalpha dude just so other people don't prematurely sell before the peak of the squeeze.

If and when the real squeeze is underway, I'll sell in chunks on day 2 through day 3. Selling too early (day 1) seems to be worse than selling too late based on previous short squeezes

if a short squeeze gets triggered, it's going to be pretty damn obvious it's the squeeze with massive volumes and at least +100% at some point which will be followed by more liquidations the next day.

I'm not saying a squeeze is guaranteed at all, but isn't that what baited us into GME in the first place? The fact that it's also a reasonable long play is just a bonus so that we come out of it with profits even without a squeeze.

It's the short interest ratio, a very rough measure based on the the fact there's ~55 million shares shorted and average daily volume of ~5 million.
heck APRN had a whole month for people to exit and take massive profits if they got in before the squeeze started.

This is not the squeeze yet though, there'd have to be massive news afterhours to really trigger forced liquidations.

I've noticed that it's usually better to sell late than too early, you'll have at least a week after the peak to still cash out at a massive upside. I'm basing this from looking at the patterns of other short squeezes. When volume starts slowing down (seems to be around day 3 but who knows), that seems to be the peak. APRN pic related, and people who bought before the squeeze had a whole month to exit at a stable ~$12.

i expect you all to report back Wednesday afterhours (conference call is at 5PM), good or bad news. We either win or cry together.
don't fucking use leverage to buy GME or don't use options if you're not confident on expiry because who the fuck can tell if the squeeze happens this week or closer to PS5/Xbox X release.
