I need some career advice, bros.

I've been working at a Italian restaurant for a few years now and I gotta say, its finally breaking me down. I make great tips, but fucking hell I just can't stand my coworkers anymore. They have all been there longer than I have and I think they are all going crazy. I've been looking for a new job for the past few months and I have found some for receptionist positions. But the pay is slightly lower than what I make at the restaurant though. But at the same time, I feel like working at the hospitals/office will make my resume look a lot better.

All I have is some college experience and a few years of restaurant experience, so I'm just wondering if I should just quit the restaurant that pays more and work somewhere else that pays less? And just hope that the lower paying job "MIGHT" help me in the future?

I mean does a receptionist sound/look more pleasing than a server?

If there was a handshake agreement for me to start a position with a new company, how uncommon or common is it for companies to back out? Its been 3 days since my interview and the regional manager hasn't contacted me since. I already put in my 2 week notice. I texted and called him yesterday to see when we would begin paper work but i didn't get a response. Seems pretty fucking unprofessional but i understand that he is understaffed, and extremely busy and i might be freaking out and over thinking the situation. My buddy said to give it another week and he'll eventually get back to me. Thoughts? Don't want to seem too desperate or bug the guy, but I'm in a really shitty situation. All i want is a simple fucking text. Has anyone ever had a situation like this?

What are you going for? I did 3 years of community and still didn't finish my basics. I did part time a lot and also worked a lot. I'm going to a 4 year university in fall and I'm so behind it's not even funny. I feel like i will always be in school and i also feel like I will end u hating my major before I even start.
