You don't need a degree in CS if you can actually code and show and prove your skills. A CS degree will eat up 4-5 years of your time to teach you old outdated algorithms no one uses and any new technology you learn will be outdated by the time you graduate. Make sense?

All of the successful programmers I know are highly dedicated self-taught geniuses/chads. Some got their degrees in CS or other technical fields, some dropped out, and some didn't go to college at all.
