How long is this clown market really going to go on for?

At some point we can't just continue to sit at home and not manufacture anything and continue to expect all other countries to continue to suffer at our expense right? I know the end endgame is massive inflation even if deflation is short-term. But how long will the farce last? How long until everyone else can no longer turn to the USD as a safe haven? It's killing me, I hate this

This is what Powell is scared of most. If liquidity dries up and the historic bond bubble bursts (which it's already showing signs of), interest rates will shoot back up and Fed will be forced to pour a firehose of money on it (yes, even more than they are currently) just to keep lending markets from blowing up.

Higher rates are good for banks in good times because they take advantage of a healthy yield curve to borrow short and lend long. However higher rates in bad times mean that ailing corporations will be forced to rollover their debt at MUCH higher rates, causing downgrades (fallen angels), defaults, and bankruptcies. Many banks are counterparties to interest swaps and other instruments between these other entities. It's all one big incestuous web so when one big player goes bust, the others are dealt a huge blow (see: Lehman, AIG). And yes, CDSs are being done on a large scale again today...

Wtf is going on??? Market is green but volatility stocks like UVXY are up as well. Ech this is a really uncomfortable sign that I can't make heads or tails of.

To be honest I'm very scared of the "unprecedented speed" at which work on the vaccine is progress. Worried that it will be rushed out.

Realize that there is still NO VACCINE available for SARS, even almost 2 decades later. That's because during the animal trial stages they found out that upon reinfection the vaccine caused a cytokine storm that killed nearly all of the subjects. Imagine if something like that was rushed out to the public

100% this. I stopped pirating shows once it became convenient enough to watch whatever I wanted online with a single service. $10 a month sure whatever. Then somewhere along the way every streaming service became its own "channel" with its own special series and syndications that none of the others have. These services are already being put into ISP bundles in burgerland. Upgrade to 25mbps and you get Hulu subscription with it. But then you need another $9.99 per month per service to get your Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Fakku, HBO Max because they each have shows you want to watch and usually you get a single service for a single show like GoT and you don't give a shit about anything else on HBO. It's all so tiresome, I canceled all my services and just go on tpb for everything again

Alternatively, they could rate interest rates and keep the dollar afloat, at the cost of the stock market. Basically intentionally triggering a recession which would be bad, but potentially less severe than the depression that would result from the hyperinflation scenario. Bad times are coming no matter what, economy is systemically sick, only question is whether we take our medicine now or go to the emergency room later
