Nothing will be the next GME. You would have to have a company that everyone is familiar with being crushed under the weight of crime and have a bunch of people think it would be funny to save it only to realize that the problem was SO MUCH WORSE than initially theorized, leading to a protracted crime spree met with tens of thousands of people with disposable income who have nothing better to do than connect dots and do research. Then you have to make it so that this crime process was so routine that dozens of banks jumped into it as a matter of course only to get stuck with economy-ending short positions that those tens of thousands of people can profit from. And that company would have to be reformed from the ashes by a new manager with a very personal hatred of the ones who initially did the crime. AND you would have to have all of those things AFTER it already happened with Gamestop.

sperged out a bit and failed to push the offer up during initial calls. i was trying to push the offer up without explicit leverage. i dont have any leverage, such as other offers, and have a 1 week deadline on this. thinking of bluffing on my call tomorrow with the company recruiter (last we spoke i told them i have one more onsite). thinking of going in and saying i got the offer, even though it doesnt exist.

anyone ever bluffed about an offer and got a sweet raise on an initial offer? this is for a software eng position in US.
