OTOH hand I don't find it too outrageous to believe a cascading bank failure WOULD have repercussions overnight. I think, more than inflation, that is the risk with rising silver - that the rising price clashes with their suppression methods to break the derivatives system and cause a failure.

Were there to be the dreaded cascading bank failure it would take everybody's money and access to money with it in maybe a week. It takes time for logistics to be rebuilt when you no longer have a bank providing 30 day credit to smooth things along. I suspect supply chain disruptions would be extensive and, not even considering that, credit cards and ATMs would no longer work and the banks would be closed, with the account holdings being used to bail in the banks per Obama era legislation.

I'm not saying it will happen, but it's one potentiality.
