Newb here. Been reading about crypto for a while now.

It seems like Brave has serious potential for a big reason that no other coin has
>it solves an obvious problem in a way that benefits everyone involved. (advertisers know their ad was watched and dont overpay, people get paid for watching ads).

All the other coins to me seem to serve only one real purpose. Money laundering/purchasing illicit goods. Everything else legitimately can be done with credit cards and cash.

The other crypto seems to be fueled by doomsday fears of complete fiat collapse.
Brave's value seems apparent regardless of whatever fiat currencies are doing.

If you had the real (only) cryptocurrency browser, you never would've had to see that scam malware "advertisement" in the first place.

Imagine still seeing online advertising in the year 2020.

We share a board with cretinous redditors who are too braindead to use adblock / use Brave. It's actually astounding that people subject themselves to this shit in Current Year.

it's almost a little frustrating because advertisers are lined up to pay for Brave Ad campaigns i.e. buy BAT and market their shit, but at the moment we're (Brave users with Brave rewards turned on) just receiving like ~1-2 ads per day with 35 ad campaigns running in the US and BAT sitting at a measly 20 cents.

the Brave Ad system is taking its sweet time with scaling, which could be a good or bad thing I guess

I saw a kid's book advertised on Brave the other day. It's also advertised in YouTube form.

>>16818510
This is a good idea, but rather than just advertising it on YouTube, you should hire someone on the cheap to make a YouTube VERSION of the kid's book. Put some music in it, it's a music story anyways by the looks of it.

Once you start getting kids hooked on the flashing bright youtube video with music, they'll be flocking to your wife's website/amazon to buy the book. That's how it works nowadays. Also, advertise on Brave for cheap & easy grassroots shilling.

So when will you useful idiots realize that Jewgle is the enemy?

Do you favor centralization, monopolization, and monetization of harvesting private data as long as it pumps your shitcoin? There's no greater belief behind your ERC-20 token besides "I'M GONNA BE RICH!" and that's why it will fail. Bitcoin was a revolution.

If you don't browse a lot of sites, you probably won't get targeted with ads - that's my guess. From my understanding, all tracking is done client side, so Brave/third parties aren't accessing that, but the browser still uses it to cater the advertising.

Therefore if you're only browsing 4chan and like 1 other website, Brave probably doesn't have a ton of ads for you (yet). I know people have already gotten Amazon ads on Brave, but I never ever do any online shopping, so I probably won't get one of those for a long while.

Firefox literally just nuked their entire browser, pissing off everybody who uses it into a seething fit of rage. If they don't fix this fast, their entire company is finished. Redpill me on Brave browser and BAT. Is it a good switch?

Have to admit, one thing I'm pretty excited about is seeing all these Brave/BAT threads pop up on /biz/ now.

Even the retarded FUD threads and GAB threads are good because they draw attention to Brave and BAT and people have legit discussions that usually end with even the FUDders admitting that they use Brave and really like it. People are coming on board slowly and if /biz/ retards can slowly begin to grasp BAT, I imagine anyone can.

When you start seeing copycats ("imitation is the sincerest form of flattery") and people going out of their way to rage about your cryptocurrency (which 90% of the time boils down to /biz/ being ignorant), you just get a strong feeling that adoption is taking off.

People are talking. Marketing is coming. This shit's about to take off in the next year.

>One question though. Why would anyone WANT BAT ads?

I can only answer for myself. I have BAT Ads toggled on, and my reasoning is:

1) it's entirely unobtrusive and I hardly even get any ads
2) when I do get ads, it's generally for stuff I'm interested in
3) I know that I'm going to earn some BAT by having Ads on
4) The ads in general are actually well thought out and not spammy bullshit.

That's my experience so far. I don't think people quite realize how unobtrusive and easy-going this BAT Advertising system is. It's basically like an interactive ad platform where the browser is working with the user to curate your ad experience for the benefit of both worlds.

I think Brave has mentioned in the past that they'd like to provide a service where you can use BAT to purchase VPN usage. Would be pretty neat if they partnered with some dVPN service to do this in the future.

Personally I've never even used a VPN. Why do people use them?

There is a great habbening occurring right now. How is BAT generating this kind of buzz in a bear market? Will Brave/BAT usher in Web 3.0 and the Golden Bull Run simultaneously?

I guess this might be why BAT is mooning though:
