Unknowninsider has said that we can expect pic related sometime this month. I frankly can't wrap my head around why this is so bullish and what it means for the absolute state of our crabbing lord.
Can someone enlighten me?

Can anyone explain how OCR isn't centralized mess that's going to kill Chainlinks value proposition? It's a single point of failure, there's just 1 reporter.

and even if they're not malicious but they're down, it can go to the next person but 1. you waste time waiting for this (inefficient) and 2. the same thing can happen. data doesn't get reported

Isn't this centralized / a security flaw?

Offchain aggregation allows us to minimize the cost to report to the blockchain. Instead of 5 nodes broadcasting data to the blockchain we can delegate just one node to report this data. This data is aggregated offchain. It can maintain decentralization because if the dedicated node fails, another node in the group can easily take its place. Same security, but less operational costs. This is essential as we roll out our plans since we can incentivize more nodes to start with different data types.
