Every single "renewable" endeavor is on taxpayer's life support right now. Buy oil. Oil makes gains even when it loses money because oil is always in demand - it's the most energy efficient fuel imaginable, and we've just started digging. We have millennia of digging, rigging and gains awaiting for us.
