so basically
Me and my brother was discussing about a Indian show called Scam 1992.Its basically an Indian version of the wolf of Wall Street. It's also a real life story about guy named Harsha Mehta who scams people in the Indian stock market, until he was finally caught and then the whole stock market crashed.
The discussion was fairly normal until my brother said
"Did you know what happened to moms little brother."
I was like "No". I didn't know mom even had a little brother.
My brother was taken aback and said "Forget about it." but my curiousty peaked and I kept pushing him and until he finally revealed that my mom had a secret younger brother who was an investment banker and killed himself when the stock market crashed.
Currently I am 18 years old. For 18 years I didn't know about this and was suddenly given this information.
Of course I though my brother was joking, so I said "No way."
He then said he will never joke about suicide and that the entire incident causes ptsd for my mom's side of the family. He only learned about it after a relative of sorts, like him made a slip of the tongue.
When I saw mom asked her about it. My brother said not to ask mom about it, but I still though he was joking. So like an idiot I went and asked about it. My mom was angry at my brother and said not bring up the painful memory. My dad defended my brother and me saying that they would find about it eventually.
A day passed and I realized it was not a dream and that my family was hiding this big a secret from me
