my rule is i don't ask for anything, if they give it to me i accept. is it leeching if it's off your parents? what if those parents threw the economy and country away so they could feel like they were ray liotta, even if only for a few years a decade too late?

the very last thing my mother still pays for is my cell phone bill, probably comes out to about $20 a month. ive been paying for everything else not college related since i turned 17. the major telecom companies received billions of dollars to upgrade to 5g and they pocketed the money while she was an adult. they overcharged, underperformed, lied, cheated their employees and screwed them out of money, all this and she's still willing to give them money. is it my fault her generation let things get this bad to the point where I can't get acceptable service? starlink is confirmed soon, i can go without shitty 4g until then. im not willing to give my money to any major phone company in america and she knows this, if she stops paying i won't get a new number and that will be that.

if your parents are housing, feeding, or clothing you that's one thing, but if they're paying for a service that they let crumble while they were adults i don't feel bad to have them pay it.
