How are "trading strategies" developed? I mean to ask, what is the methodology for creating a trading strategy? E.g. the Elliott wave. How are you supposed to deduce a pattern or phenomenon in the market from the noise? Is there some mathematic process for this or is it just "muh gut feeling"?
