Cryptos are still revolutionary currencies. It's not inherently a scam, but it is a technology and ecosystem that lends itself to scammers and PnD/

The key word is "currency". a currency isn't a company, it doesn't have employees or sell products. When you buy a cryptocurrency, you don't own the technology in any way, you are just holding it.
So all the /biz/ threads that say "hey buy this crypto, the technology is soooo good" are a bit silly. If you want to own tech companies and capture their future revenue streams in perpetuity, you buy stocks.
Currencies are for speculation, there isn't the same promise of long-term compounding gains that you get with equities.
The people making money in crypto are oldfags, miners, scammers, or lucky.
People making money in stocks is everyone, except for unfortunate speculators.
