Rockler reminds me of this degen gambler that used to rent a room in my apartment. He was a nice dude but gambling addict, one day this guy asks me to go to the casino on his behalf and place a bet because he either got banned or banned himself.
Think it was craps he wanted me to play. He hands me a literally stack of bills he pulls from a bag(poker winnings). I placed 2 bets of 2.5k each, we did the whole hand-signals from afar thing. He lost 5k in about 2minutes. (told him beforehand that was the max I was going to bet for him)
I tried to get him into stocks/investing but he wasnt interested. I started investing around that same time more than 3 years ago with amount smaller than he lost, of course with contributions but my stack is over 50k today.

give up the booze and gambling if you want to make it. my grandfather died at age 63 from the drink, took him days to die in excruciating agony, my uncle is the same way, young and close to death from the drink.
