i was just looking at commodities vs the dollar and noticed a couple cool things. in periods of inflation, the dollar and the price of commodities moves together, upward (circled). after the dollar gives up (it just failed to make a new high), each time all of commodities will go for a run. most of the spike is from oil, but stll, its inflation spiraling out of control. the week where commodities peaks (pink dotted lines) is the week you close all positions and short fucking everything. the intensity of the peak seems to be directly proportional to the size of the crash/VIX spike. i included smaller highs in commodities to demonstrate the smaller VIX spikes as well. but for now, net time i see oil peak, im gonna go long vol
