My PC basically melted today.
Every time I connected to the internet my PC almost caught fire. Every time I disconnected everything was fine.

I looked a bit closer:
Some fucking virus was mining crypto on my GPU!

I pirate video games, but only use Windows when I'm playing those games. So any bitcoin miners I may or may not have would only run when I'm playing the games, and I don't notice any performance issues in the games so it's whatevs

I may not remember it correctly, but I think the manager didn't show me any high GPU usage. Otherwise I would have noticed it. I only found the process because it had a lot of memory allocated towards it. Then I saw that it was running on the GPU. Maybe it was able to "hide" from the task manager
