We had a mini alt season in April but most people didn't even realise it, that was really the only time you could've made a lot of money. I personally got super lucky with HYDRO, I went all in and rode it for a 5x (could've been a 7x but I sold too early) which basically eliminated all my previous losses, made some trades here and there, rode another solid 2.5x with XSN then held my BTC since. Few days ago I exchanged all my BTC for ETH and went all in on QNT, currently up 2x and will hold for the foreseeable future.

Same. It got shilled in a “next 10x” thread, I went all in with my remaining stack got back to where I was at the start of the year and cashed out before the dump. I haven’t made money over all in crypto during 2018 but I finally can say I haven’t really lost any. I do expect Hydro to pump again because it’s an actually decent team with a simple practical idea and low market cap but I’m waiting for a good time to re-enter.

Last year I was an early pick on ant shares and req... missed out on a lot of other moons. But I held and only sold what I put it, maybe 10k for fun stuff but the everything slow crashed and for 10 fucking months every day was worst than before. I lost 250k usd that I never had. I'm still holding. Today I wired another 9k usd of social security money I had been saving. I'll be loading up about $800 into this market every month until things are high again. Only noobs and week hands lose. Consistency wins over time. If you believe in crypto but don't trust a lot of these scam coins (which only Indians and 3rd worlders, or teens do anyway) then buy some stuff that's pretty reliable and not after a pump. I've already got my alts so I'll be looking at XMR, OMG, NEO, ETH and of course BTC. You pick yours but there are going to be people who make it big time this run and people who never understand why their shitcoins didn't make them rich even after they read rich dad poor dad and watched a Netflix documentary on banking.

yeah i had 1.2mm at the peak. Now it's worth about 55k. Had to go back to work. Only cashed out about 30k total. Was angry for a long time, but realised it wasn't my money, they were my tokens, they still are my tokens. I never had 1.2mm, I just had and still do have a shitton of REQ and LINK. It's just that people don't value them as much as I do anymore which is frustrating but fair enough.
