>Son, lemme tell you something, I remember when I first started in the workforce and we had it so rough that I couldn’t buy a new car for three years straight. Now you youngsters take everything for granted and you act all high and mighty on your chinese cartoon image board websites! I’m just glad that my granddaughter met a better guy than your kind, his name is Jamal Sanchez, he’s from the Dominican Republic and he works like a pack mule compared to you. I ain’t hiring you, now get the hell outta my office boy.

If you don't have an immediately demonstrable skill in construction or carpentry, you'll need to go to trade school. If you don't, you'll literally be digging ditches and doing body-destroying labor. Your level of muscle doesn't matter when your knee cartilage finally wears thin, either. I'm sure you could handle it for a few years as a means to an end, but imo the sooner those kinds of jobs are being done by robots the better. I know too many dads who were brick layers, tilers, drywallers, etc. who all have a story of how they would've done anything different if they could, but were too lazy/bad in school/impatient/etc.

Construction pays well, but it's extremely hard to not get taken advantage of without a union behind you as well, unless you "know people". I know you meant onions as in weak soi men or whatever, but being in a union isn't "onions".
