Bitcoin is like McDonald’s...not particularly good or healthy...but it’s there..it’s always there. People know it...they use it, it’s safer, and it’s recognizable. There are much better burgers out there, much better fast food chains but if I’m in an area where I don’t trust food choice I’m more likely to eat at a shit McDonald’s than a random restaurant where I could get the shits. Bitcoin is a fairly sure that it won’t give investors “the shits”. Btw I’m speaking as a btc maximalist...I’m aware better coins out there but I’m lazy and don’t want the shits.

Bitcoin is not the best because it's more "recognizable" nor because it's "safer", better known, or any other stupid branding meme from the world if marketing

It's the best for many reasons but mainly because it has the longest chain WITH the highest hashing power
Owing to that hashrate and that hashrate alone it is the strongest chain out there, the laws of mathematics, and the universe protect your money
Even other chains with better meme technology that will get overtaken in 5 years cannot grow to scale like Bitcoin has, as they'd be attacked from every angle and (relatively) much more easily be wrangled under control

As a second under-point, it also has like the most developers behind it, the bcash blocsteem owns teh bidcorn! meme is a meme because those members don't even have anywhere close to a majority of the commits
