i think 30 cents is an important barrier. it's the point at wich accumulation of mass quanities becomes difficult for most. after that the coin must prove it has value. for bat i don't think that will be a problem though.

In general BAT holders are wired differently than the rest of the crypto population. To understand what BAT is going to do you need to have a solid grasp on computer science, game theory, economics and finance. Plus most of us seem to have pretty good business acumen so we saw the use case immediately. Then add in the fact that Eich is running the show along with a lot of other og web engineers and that just adds fuel to the fire. So I don't really care what the rest of the market does because in two years BAT is going to be the only crypto that normals interact with. Not link, not ripple, not neo, not dash... and certainly not that piece of shit bitcoin.

BAT is the only token that's going to matter this decade.

i would also argue eth has a place as well. since bat runs on top of eth. and other tokens show promising use cases as well. eth itself might actually be suitable as a means of digital cash once pos lands and brings those fast tx speeds. your right about buttcorn though. that shit just lives rent free in boomers heads. it's got no use case no purpose to exist anymore.

Solid points, the Brave team really like's ETH too and I think they've been helping the ETH project with scaling unofficially. I honestly think we're going to see a huge marketing push on the scale of google/apple by Brave once the first round of bugs is fixed after V1 drops in a couple months, so you have until then to accumulate. Once that happens though its off to the races.

BAT's a cool token because it allows the community to actually have an influence on the project.

For example you can:
1) Download and use Brave.
2) Use the UGP grants to give BAT to verified publishers
3) Become a verified publisher and fund your work through BAT
4) Download the Brave Dev Browser and earn BAT through BAT Ads
5) Interact with the team on social media, find bugs in the browser, make recommendations.
6) Sign up to create an advertising campaign with Brave Ads.

Lots of ways to influence/advance BAT and the project. I don't think any other cryptocurrency other than BTC and ETH has this level of basic user interaction. Exciting stuff.

Because it solves the use case bitcoin was trying to. Plus no other company is putting this capability right in the browser, or could catch up to brave if they wanted too. Brave is the first mover here (0 to 1) so they'll be the market leader. For most people computers exist to connect them to the internet, and the internet to them is the browser. So if Brave is a browser that pays them for their time, especially with the recession coming, then that's a strong incentive already. And most here don't seem to understand that its not going to be boomers like me that's going to be first adopters, its going to be the zoomers.

So it has strong potential to go that high because there's only 1.5 billion tokens that will ever be issued, so say only 100 million people use BAT, that works out to 15 tokens per person. Add in wallet sink characteristics, ad campaign buy ins and general transactions and that's a recipe for strong volume and a stable price. I'm sure it will level off in value one day but that's at least a decade away until the ecosystem matures.

Exactly. If bitcoin was so terrible they could have used Ether or something like dai, which have the same speed and costs as bat. I really think the ICO model for an in network token will be proven to work if BAT is successful.

Yes, BAT needed an ICO to fund the project. It would have been great if someone like Jack Dorsey who is funding LN funded BAT to create utility in the Bitcoin network. Nobody did. It would have been great if ETH founders/devs who got $72Million premine had funded a project like BAT which would have given more value to ETH itself. They didn't.

Air dropping free tokens hasn't shown that it makes the token useless. Ripple did it 6 years ago. Stellar did it. There are others. I don't know if BAT is going to be successful but if it starts gaining adoption within the next several years, today's price is basically free. Ripple has or claims to have 40 Billion circulating, with the token worth more than BAT and has no usage except for marketing. They have 100 Billion total supply. BAT has 1.5 Billion maximum supply and it has a much better use case for utility and things in development than Ripple, Stellar, IOTA, etc. If BAT starts gaining momentum, there are a lot more use cases than just ads. I myself am very skeptical it'll succeed but BAT probably has a higher chance of adoption that most of the vaporware or marketing hype shit that surrounds crypto including almost every top 25 coin.

Twitch had a crazy breakout on BATgrowth these last few days. Wondering if the site is glitching (could be the site isnt perfect) or Brave referrals are catching on on the platform, and lots of streamers are suddenly verifying. This guy is the highest rated streamer who is verified and has a Brave referral in his underlay:
https://www.twitch.tv/bwana
Could he have triggered it?

Have you noticed Braved hasn't released download stats in a while? I think when they do its going to be fucking insane what they report. Hopefully it will be soon.

Imagine not knowing the poor are a coveted demographic. By their nature they cannot save and must spend.

why are the biggest faggots always the stupidest?

https://www.reddit.com/r/BATProject/comments/a7e9v8/brave_still_uses_chromium_user_agent_string/ec2a3yz/

>The UA is still Chrome's, yes. From what I've heard, we will switch to our own UA string when our user base is deemed large enough. At current scale, it is to minimize fingerprinting vectors and prevent the targeting of Brave users.

Birdchain $375k Market cap

BAT $346M market cap

Valued 1000x more with much less of a product to show for it.

>The absolute state of crypto.
Birdchain has a better product and better clients than Brave.
>The absolute state of crypto where something could be so morbidly overpriced as BAT for such little in way of a product.

lmao what a fucking stupid name for a scam built by faggots for faggots. It's a shittier version of DATA (DTA) which was shilled on here by pajeets last year. It too was "a BAT killer"

Look at where it's at now. Pajeets have ruined this board.

pearl/opacity was the "BAT killer" also

look at how that turned out

Oh i remember. Faggot ass Bruno stole all these dirty pajeets money.

Honestly, the only play these leeches have is to just try and get mentioned in BAT threads as they'd be virtually unknown/non-existent otherwise.
