There's two things coming up that are going to escalate the price:

1) The Brave team is going to be releasing some new news soon on metrics. Expected to be positive (browser dL #'s, bat usage, quantify adoption more, etc)

2) Version 1 is dropping in what? 3 months? Less than 3 months? To the mooooon

We all know the money users will make from seeing BAT will be a non-trivial amount, but Eich can't say that because then it opens him up for lawsuits. He does have to give a value though so it might as well be a reasonable one.

Nah, not how it works. Advertisers aren’t giving users money directly and they’re not paying users fiat. They buy an ad campaign for $X (in fiat) which is then used by Brave to purchase BAT. That BAT is split, part goes to Brave, part to the publishers, part to users.

Advertisers aren’t giving users $70 a year. Brave is giving users X BAT a year. Eich made a calculation that that amount of BAT could end up being around $70/year. BAT’s value in fiat obviously isn’t based entirely off how much advertisers put into the system. Therefore your “advertisers can’t afford to pay neets/pajeets $70 a year” is a fucking nonsequitor and retarded, irrelevant comment. Literally does not apply to the way BAT/Brave works at all.

Wrap your head around the fact that users are not getting paid in FIAT, they're getting paid in BAT. I was talking about you, you pleb. For example you're so caught up in the specifics of the payment flow that you gloss over the point everyone keeps making about BAT that party A ultimately has to (even if indirectly) pay party B to look at their ads which has never worked. The reason it doesn't work is that there's a mismatch between who advertisers are willing to pay to reach and who is willing to look at ads for money. People willing to do that are poor, they know they are being advertised to (unlike for example search engine ads which blend in with the results), and in Brave's case they can't be laser targeted like on Facebook and Google because it's a "privacy" browser. People harp on how great Eich is because of Javascript (kek) but he's going against with people 1,000 times smarter than him at Google who dominate not only this business but several others and who created the platform Brave is most popular on (Android) and the technology it's based on (Chromium).

Brave has been my main web browser on Android since April 2017, but I'm not deluded enough to believe that BAT will be massively adopted or that it will moon. It's just like all those other shitcoins with incredible potential out there when you read their whitepaper, in the end it's not what matters sadly. Most if not all people don't care about the tech they're only interested in making quick gains

I got some free at around 12 cents, then I bought some at around 21-22. Is it a good or bad idea to buy some more at the current price range of 27-30?

Thhhhiiisss. BATards think their token will have value when the fact is that no one wants to advertise to poor people. And that's exactly who will have ads turned on. There's absolutely no chance for BATards to overcome this.

Sell it all boys, they're absolutely right. Just called my dad's friend who was in marketing and he had no idea who Eich was. Bad sign.

$70 is more than most people on the planet make in a year. BAT encourages you to ingest Western media for money, which is how we incentivize being indoctrinated.
