Not really tho, but this will be a nice pump to .35

This is not an investment coin it’s a utility coin. The price by design has no reason to go up long term.

LUL ok. Because bitcoin and ethereum have no utility either??

What's an investment coin?? hahaha

Yeah I heard that BAT can't go above $1, it completely breaks the utility of the coin

There is a limited supply. Why wouldn't it surpass $1.00? There is nothing about that in the whitepaper.

Why would it? There's deliberately no tokenomics behind it to make it appreciate.

Of course there is. Brave ads are running in the beta/dev versions, and for now (until they release the 2 way wallet) they can only be used for tipping. Any BAT that gets paid for an ad is removed from the trading supply and gets spread thinner and thinner between users and publishers. Once ads go live on the public release, expect BATs trading supply to slowly widdle down.

Unless they are lying for some reason (why?) there's no reason to believe the price will ever go up much. I don't know where the >$1 meme originated but it's not that far off from what Brave actual claims in this paper.

There’s a real anti-BAT sentiment on /biz/. I get the feeling even the jannies/mods here are anti-BAT based on my recent bans — I see people posting off-topic bullshit all the time but recently I’ve gotten a couple of bans that have me wondering if it’s because I post about BAT a lot.

Anyways, this token easily faces the most resistance out of all the non-scammy cryptocurrencies. Whenever there’s a post about Brave/BAT it’s met with so much debate and criticism. I think that’s a good thing — shows it’s groundbreaking and people hate any form of change. It helps that BAT isn’t some vaporware shitcoin too. The fact that it has a working product behind it worries some people who see it as a threat to their shitcoin of choice. There’s something to be said for BAT though, I don’t think there’s any token/coin out there quite like BAT.

I'm just thinking. I 'invested' $2k intro crypto. I'm not toooooo upset about losing that amount. But I have 3-5k saved up. Maybe i can invest into a business. Who the fuck knows.
But it's better than...
>Letting it rot in savings,
>Entrust it into some index funds.
>Spending it on stupid shit.
>"Investing" it into "technology."

All these damn shitcoins. It's going directly into the hands of greedy hedonistic NEETs.

Saving my money for years was a mistake, gameifying them with crypto/investments in general is much more interesting. I just got in a car accident last night but I will never touch my Big Fat Bat Stack unless 100% necessary. Iron hands only!

Its got a better use-case than literally every other speculation coin right now. No other project can claim 10 million (real) MAU's except maybe the Binance platform. But sure keep shilling me stinky linkies, FTM, HOLO and whatever the fuck else gets mentioned on the reg here. I'm glad that most of biz hate's BAT, y'all really don't deserve to make it.

That's 60 BAT temporaily taken out of the circulating supply just from you. Eventually that will be x10,000 users and then x100,000, x1,000,000. The $0.30 floor will not last long.

What would be the top price for BAT after Brave ads are implemented? Could it reasonably go as high as $100?
And after that where would it stabilize?

Could it, yes.
Will it, no, not for at least 10 - 15 years.

>> No.13242267

Assuming BAT becomes at all widely adopted it will stabilize, trending upwards. While most crypto is a ponzi scheme, BAT and Brave are a pyramid scheme. It will be less volatile than currencies that are beholden to pure speculation and have little theoretical use outside of that, so the earlier you get in the more likely you are to "make it" with it. There might come a time where a lot of the more powerful figures holding BTC realize that they will be able to multiply their money many times over by investing in an alt rather than hoping the original shitcoin moons again against all odds and that is when shit is going to get real.

Think about how much more likely some of these alts are to reach a couple dollars than Bitcoin is to reach the 10k it needs to double from this point, the 20k it needs to quadruple etc. All us BATmen need is for BAT to reach a single dollar to triple our money assuming we invest right this moment, ignoring the potential it has, like even the shittiest shitcoins have, to go much, much higher by pure happenstance.

>> No.13242935

>>13236640

He's right though. Success of Brave will be irrelevant to the bat price at the end of the day. It won't stay in anybody's hands long enough to appreciate. It's a classic veloctiy problem. There's still time to make money in this speculation phase but don't fool yourself into thinking the token will keep increasing in price once everyone had their fun with p&ds

BAT is the new kid on the block. Bitcoin just looks like one huge pump and dump. It doesnt help that the people shilling bitcoin cant explain the value of bitcoin in a few sentences without sounding like brainlets.
