I work as an Art Director and Motion Designer sometimes and i sometimes wonder why the fuck to CEOs of advertising companies hire women to do work in project management. I work at a fairly tough industry, and most of middle management is 30-45 yo roasties.

They could give less of a fuck about WHAT you did (unless it’s related to some bullshit diversity/wimminz empowerment initiative). They just care HOW you did it and how they FELT about it.

Even after ideating and executing arguably the highest impact project for my team in a cycle (80+ teammates) I got a poor rating for that performance cycle. Smashed metrics, drove value, etc

Even though I passed all of the objective tests for a decent rating, it was *subjective* judgement by female managers that sealed my fate.

It’s fucked. They knew my mom was in the hospital and my brother was suffering with a chronic illness. My behavior and business face wasn’t up to snuff, but I was absolutely justified. Didn’t matter.

That being said, I’ve worked with plenty of kickass 200 iq roasties in other departments that are great. Not all women in business are trash, but a lot of them are.
