Anyone intelligent enough here?
There is a fucking SHITTON OF MONEY to be made in this.
Decentralized apps are the future, and iExec enables some pretty amazing new things.
As soon as v4 and fiat onramps come out iExec's adoption rate is going to skyrocket as people begin making dApps that can exist without any central entity taking money from us or telling us what we can and cannot make.
It is quite literally going to change the world, but you won't see the effects or news stories for another 2-5 years.

2 idiots without the capability of making dApps that are usable until the end of time that continually make me a percentage of profit from each use of every dApp I make.

Ok I'll bite, give me TWO examples of something an iexec dApp can do better than a centralized application on the market right now. Even abstract ones will do

Okay I'm not going to give you dApp ideas but I'll tell you why iExec is better than centralized apps on the market.

1) Immutable apps. Meaning, you make a tool(or an app) and it can never be taken off of the internet and people can use it forever. Being able to make tools that are uncensorable is going to bring new advancements in app technology. This is the biggest advancement in regards to dApps and why iExec will be the leading dApp platform.

2) You have access to potentially millions of computers around the world that can be asked to do a multitude of secure tasks. You can have access to a supercomputer app at your fingertips for less than the cost of a cup of coffee. This is more for the higher end/enterprise user though I'm sure some basement dwellers will create something incredible eventually.

3)Taking almost any currently centralized app and making it decentralized with a few lines of extra code.
Meaning: Hey, want to use that funny ass FaceApp but don't want criminals having access to literally all of your information including your facial mapping data? Use the decentralized version of FaceApp powered by iExec then.

It might also enable types of secure communication based on computations that we've never seen before, but that's just hypothetical.

Begin learning about iExec through their documentation page and how to implement it into your app. If your dApp is actually world-changing it could be potentially used by millions of people and you would get commission (a percentage set by you in the code) of every time it's used. Forever. Until the Earth explodes. That means you could become a multi-billionaire if you make enough dApps that begin to affect centralized markets.

I've prototyped a few to see how the tech works but I can't really talk about them because this is an emerging market and I want to be one of the first to make something usable by the every day norman.

What don't you agree with? Where do you think centralized beats decentralized apps? The only thing I could see is that centralized apps are sometimes "free" but you end up giving them a lot of information and it could end up coming back and biting you in the ass.

OH and another one, you will eventually be able to use iExec on the backend of any dApp without the user knowing. This also has larger implications for the big tech companies looking to hedge their passive server power to the iExec network and save on cost. Eventually they will have oracle-powered fiat onramps that will allow users to operate dApps without ever touching the bullshit mess that is acquiring coins.

Everything you wrote sounds good on paper, but the only real areas where decentralization is required is where the question of ownership needs to be established. I can imagine robotaxis invoking smart contracts on automatic repair stations to replace parts approaching their worn out period thirty-fifty years from now, and even owning other robotaxis, but why iexec? Any smart contract framework can do, and it will be probably so different, almost unrecognizable from smart contract platforms we have now. The dApps people are writing now are basically proofs of concepts, more than practical. The world needs a lot more sensors for dApps to start to make sense, and it will happen, but not that soon.

You don't understand the point of dApps then.
Decentralization through iExec allows LIMITLESSNESS and simplicity.
Not only that but it also gives you access MILLIONS of high performance computers.
You are talking about robotics (which iExec is also capable of), not dApps.
