Most aren’t going to give you the chance at equity stake. Most of the nodes have pre existing staking services they don’t need to raise money. LP will likely be one of very few where you’ll get dividends from shit you’re not even staking. I don’t hold any but wish I could (burger)

Chainlink whale here (250k+ linkies. LTG)

Around the .50 mark i traded about 5k linkies for 1 LP. My reasoning is that early on when the network is standing up, like now, LP shares will earn MORE linkies for me. If I can earn more than 5,000 total linkies, I will have won out, but more importantly, it’s passive. So before the singularity, I’m hoping to get back my initial link investment. Part of the consideration for this too is that sir gay has a huge pool of linkies intended for node operators, of which LP should capture around 10% of, so early node operators (LP) should capture a ton of the linkies given out to the network which will “pool” in pools. It’s not a big deal for me because I have so many link, so you’ll have to make the decision on your own. I might not be able to make back those 5,000 links before the singularity, but at least I have lifetime LP passive gains without having to do anything.

I could sell all my Link right now and still feel comfy knowing I will recieve passive income through LP.

So much stupid fud about the price being too high. Comparing the market cap of Chainlink and Linkpools shows how undervalued LP is, at roughly 1.7% of Chainlink's market cap.
Obviously the unit price is much higher as there are only 4000 shares compared to 1 billion Link.

Do you really believe 1.7% is crazy overpriced? Remember that Linkpool will be:
The first, largest and most trusted staking pool with the highest reputation nodes,
The largest provider of infrastructure for personsal nodes to run on via NaaS,
The first and most used Chainlink marketplace, matching data providers and data requesters,
On top of all that Linkpool is likely to also become an ETH staking pool.
All those revenue streams will go to LP shareholders forever with no work required.
I think the people fudding right now just want some cheap shares, but you're not getting them.

Exactly, so far it is nothing but a promise. Investors always take some degree of risk, but give me one reason to justify the valuation of a fully operational, adopted, and widely used system at the point of time in which is isn't even operational yet.

Once srskjng becomes live and people realize how ridiculously cheap a chainlink request will be, the dampening will begin. I sold. All of it. Feels good. I'll buy back once I see some decent performance metrics and a solid business case for some sustainable ROI.
