Anon if you are a computer engineer then you should be able to see that this invalidates the consensus making the entire system dependent on the currently leading node and hence vulnerable to re-entrant attacks. I can't post the whole thing here but if you can read the code this should be enough. Plus just go compare it to the github and etherscan. I don't see how this got by the third party code reviewers but maybe that is all just a paid stamp of approval.
