I’m financially stable, if not outright ahead of my peers money-wise, and wish to continue such a trend by being proactive with my excess funds.
Though, perhaps you have a point. I feel like not many Wall Street Wolves would seek proper advice here, of all places. I only poised my initial question from a more curious standpoint. Just casting a line to see what would bite. Results are expectedly disappointing.
Keep at it though! You’ll get there soon, I’m sure.

>>15609373
A bit of both, perhaps? I already have a retirement plan moving along from my employment (federal gov’t), but bolstering it independently can’t hurt. Short term-wise, I mainly wished to experiment, and just see if any of my money can make me a little more ‘fun’ money instead of sitting idly in my savings account.

I'm in the same boat as you anon. Been lurking for 2+ years and if you ask for advice you will get responses like faggots above. Read SMG and scroll thru some of the other threads. It's mostly shilling and FUD but there are occasional nuggets of good info, or at least something to spark some interest and send you down a rabbit hole. I think this something u have slow play. Don't throw around any money your not prepared to lose and don't get upset when u do lose. Think of it as paying for a lesson on how not to do something. If u want to accelerate the process take a udemy class or watch YouTube videos on trading and crypto, but don't expect any help from these "people".

I recommend options trading anon
can be the same payoffs as shitcoins without dealing with so much fraud

In the thread below I went deep with an anon about options trading
>>15604905

TLDR
I trade options biggest gain 4400%, recently made 14% in 50 days and also 300% in 30 days.
The 300% trade could have been done with just $35

It's a skill and a fun skill to learn.
ask questions if you want.

yes it already popped like 5 times sometimes there's not enough liquidity for the demand and prices go stupid, but since you don't seem to know why btc is steadily rising in value you should do a little research on how it works and why it only increases in value over the years and make the easiest longterm investment of your life.
the only reason why people on this board don't like btc is because they were too poor to buy "enough to make it" and gambled away their money on shitcoins instead, while they would have made so much more by simply holding btc

>What’s hot rn regarding options?
They have very high intrinsic leverage
>What appears to be upcoming?
It's a skill you need to learn.

How big is your account going to be $2500 is that the minimum on TD Ameritrade? I recommend Interactive Brokers best on fees especially options.

What sectors of the economy are you interested in?
I trade sp500, gold, silver and sometimes mining stocks.

Never trade through Interactive Brokers is a big one and it seems like you've already got that covered. Other stuff would be start small and give yourself time to develop a style. Read books, listen to podcasts, watch people on YouTube, but all the while maintain a healthy degree of skepticism and realize that a significant portion of what you're taking in is either a scam outright, just plain wrong, or inapplicable to how you're going to end up trading.

Also another piece of wisdom is that you'll probably fail to do anything exceptional financially on the markets (assuming you don't just lose all your money outright). Once you know how to trade which most people get within the first year, everything BESIDES trading becomes the challenge and if you didn't fail learning to trade, generally you'll fail at this stage. Assuming you get to this stage, you're going to need to learn to say "no" to a lot of people and you will almost certainly get branded an asshole for doing so. So this ultimately the future that awaits you with very few deviations in my experience.

You're losing money or making almost nothing for at least a year. After you start making okay money, then women, family, friends, people you run into at the gym, whatever all will serve to harm your trading most likely. More money you make, more invites you get. More invites you say yes to the shittier your trading will get. As you get better these people and things will cost you more and more which will force you to adapt or lose. Now having some drinks on Sunday with your buddies doesn't cost you $50 on Monday, it costs you $500. If you adapt, you're most likely going to be an asshole. People will say they understand, but trust me, they won't. If you don't adapt, you lose. You'll be a bit more popular and liked, you'll be Mr. Friendly, but you won't be a trader.

Because their data feed has this cute little tendency to be bucket shop tier as far as accuracy goes. Always seems to coincide with one of their undocumented patches/build updates as well. Depending on how you trade that can have anywhere from an incredibly destructive or functionally non-existent impact on your trading. With smaller time frames and more rapid instruments, it can be a nightmare. You can trade consistently profitably with them, I did (and a little over 50% of my trades tend to be scalps), but around the 10th time or so that their data feed unexpectedly teleports the fuck around after being what appears to be throttled (and I've seen people confirm this is the case on /g/) you'll want to start smashing shit. It got to a point for me where I would wake up, get in gear to trade and then just start thinking "I wonder if IB is going to be serving me up shit data today or if it's going to be coming in clean?" It's like going to the gym and worrying if the roof is going to fall on your head when you should be worrying about lifting correctly.

Good on you anon. Unfortunately biz is now crypto hell and not many good threads these days. Personally I had a friend suggest sp500 vanguard index VOO. It's still ath currently but I've made some decent gains so far. And it reinvests dividends automatically.
I also got into silver. Anything I buy as an investment is usually for my resale business. I'm a noon investor so that's all i got. Good luck
