Social technology hasn't evolved yet to use communications technology to synthesize effective new communities.

Tinder, but for families. 4chan, but with permanence. Facebook but starting your network from scratch. That's a billion dollar business someone will make.

Ok serious reply. People are more controlled by their instincts than they believe. This is true even of smart people. It's true of all people. What differentiates the smart and stupid is that smart people use their emotions to reach an advantageous position.

It's not gonna happen overnight and it's never going to be perfect. That's why you have to learn to accept the now and treat yourself with respect. Learning to accept that there will be good times and hard times isn't easy and isn't something you can conciously do. The harder you try the more stressful it gets. So just try to take steps in the right direction and don't worry when you fuck up. Use your past as a means to see what works and what doesn't instead of ruminating. Just don't worry about it. Stress is a killer for any relationship.

kek. Are you one of the anons that scooped a bunch up when they were under 1k? I want a star but I just end up putting my $$$ into [redacted] or btc. I think eventually I will scrape some off the top after a pump and use that for a star. Urbit is fascinating but it feels like it will still be ages before I can get any return from operating a star. That being said it seems that whenever they are ready to put out a new feature, suddenly a lot of things can all click together at once.

I bought mine OTC for $1k each in February 3 weeks after Azimuth went live. A week after that OpenSea started supporting it and a bunch of autists pumped the price up.

Because we don’t have anything else. The world pushes us to the absolute fringes of society so the ability to socialize without the technological middleman becomes nigh-impossible. We get jobs for the sole purpose of survival and occasionally supporting our hobbies, but the jobs are so low-tier and pay next to nothing so we work ungodly hours every day, leaving very little time to invest in anything else. The only friends you could make with the short time you have is the people you work with but they’re either so insufferable or you’re so introverted that they aren’t an option, so any opportunity to socialize is squashed yet again. Hell, don’t even get me started on finding a girl who can not only put up with our bullshit but also provide the emotional support needed to keep us from becoming a complete mindless slave to work or straight up killing ourselves.
Modern men are trapped in a pit with smooth walls, constantly told by those who could never understand the struggle to “just climb out” without offering so much as a hand or some rope.

There's a lot of cope answers you can say but ultimately we're just extras and not wanted. There's something like 3 million more men under 30 than women in the US, with similar proportions in most of the rest of the world. Even if everyone agreed to a musical chair game and limited themselves to one person there's still going to be many on the sidelines when the music stops. Between that and state resources available to women among a number of other factors it's difficult to feel or actually be useful, and you're under the gun to handle every situation perfectly since you're easily replaced, even by an overweight girl. This is all probably in line with some power brokers scheme somewhere, but it seems like it worked all things considered.
