Maybe not, haven't checked, but I think it is increasing in cost because convenient housing is so expensive in a lot of high employment areas, alongside travel, and these increased demands pressure young people in particular to eat out. S'all connected.

Kek, conveniently staple consumer products that make up CPI don't go up in price. Products like Milk and Bread, which are heavily subsidized by the government. Meanwhile everything else in a grocery store has gone up nearly 50% in the last two years if you total up caloric content decreases and straight price hikes. Arizonas used to be 99c in 2017, now 7/11 stopped selling them and replaced it with a generic brand thats less then half the size with not real juice, and my local safeway is selling them for 2.29 despite the can still saying 99c.

as much as i love the moon missions.. i like swing trading.. i like steady climbs up and steady climbs down.. imo GBR should be a $5 stock just due to how clean of a corporation it is.. if it could swing up there over the course of a few months i'd love it.. if it moons to $5 i just hope it stays there long enough to trade it... if it moons to $5 it'll probably go to $8-$10.. but thats just like my opinion....... Let me stress subsidy again. Throughout this trade war the one constant has been an astronomical increase in farming and livestock subsidy. Looking at the straight subsidy increases it's still in excess of 20%, which is helped along by a repeal of the cap to these subsidy's passed in 2018 and a direct 12 billion increase. That is not including the tremendous amount of straight financial relief offered to the industry through government financial aid in the form of loans and grants. The real cost of food is huge and the only reason we run such a heavy surplus is because of this subsidy. Think about it, every time you buy food made with essential ingredients you are indirectly subsidizing the poor who buy food they couldn't actually afford to eat. If we were to eliminate all this aid the production would tank and milk and flour prices would rise nearly 400%.

LCI will be doing better as a company then it was when it was previously trading at $60... they will be in a much better position fundamentally than before.. not only that.. they haven't fucked up their share structucre since they were up at $60.. so i don't see any reason for it to not get back to $60.

Right now you have two very stubborn negotiators playing a game of chicken, and neither side will accept a loss, and this is not going to change any time soon. The big problem is there is no win, win situation to be had, one side will have to suffer a defeat on some level for this to come to a close.

Mixed. Unfortunately my two largest positions, SHOP and RH were the reddest of the bunch. I was not well pleased with the rebound effort and opted to punch out half my position for the time being. RH earnings come out Wednesday after close. SHOP had better rebound effort, digging out of a -6.5% hole this morning to close at -1.17% (on the TSX. US listing did a little worse closing at -1.7%).

I made a couple small purchases today in service of planned gradual shift to recession resistant stuff. Bought little baby position in Ballard Power Systems because of the continuation setup that occurred today. Little bit larger position entry in Loblaw grocery stores. If RH boots me out tomorrow that money is going straight in to gold or silver.

if you're looking into dividend companies, the things you need to look at are:
1. P/E Ratio (anything above 20 is probably overvalued, with minor exceptions like V and COST), FFO if you're looking at REITS
2. Payout Ratio - the percentage of profits used to pay out the dividend. For a more rapidly growing company it should be less than 50%, for a well established companies, it should be under 75%.
3. Dividend Growth Rate or CAGR. Look at how often the company grows its dividend and the rate of growth of each increase. 6-12% is pretty solid depending on the starting yield.
4. Yield. Unless its a telecom or a utility, anything over 5 is usually absurd. There are rare exceptions but going high yield = high risk.

This is the reason for the Boeing sell off. I suspect the dip will be bought as the news isn't about what has happened but what may happen pending etc etc.

>WASHINGTON, Dec 2 (Reuters) - The U.S. government on Monday said it would review the possibility of raising tariffs on European Union products and applying tariffs to more products, given what it called lack of progress in resolving a dispute over aircraft subsidies.

>The U.S. Trade Representative's office said Monday's decision by the World Trade Organization (WTO) affirmed the U.S. position that European Union launch aid to planemaker Airbus continued to harm the U.S. aerospace industry.

>"In light of today's report and the lack of progress in efforts to resolve this dispute, the United States is initiating a process to assess increasing the tariff rates and subjecting additional EU products to the tariffs," USTR said in a statement. It said it would release more information about the process later this week. (Reporting by Andrea Shalal; Editing by Lisa Shumaker)

McGronal's to enter the chicken sammy meme wars! They're bringing back the crispy chicken, which was a chicken filet rather than the ground chicken patty used in the mcchicken. This was a good chicken sammich I quite enjoyed years back. Should be strong seller if they price it right. And by price it right I mean don't fugging put it on the menu as a premium fancy boutique artisan expensive thing. It can be more expensive than the mcchicken but should be competitively priced with Chick-fil-a and Wendy's chicken sammy offerings.

>Video game maker to pay $10 million in gender bias case
>8:39 PM ET, 12/02/2019 - Associated Press
>SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The maker of popular video game League of Legends has agreed to pay $10 million to female employees to settle a broad gender discrimination case.
>Court documents show that Los Angeles-based Riot Games will pay about 1,000 current and former female employees who worked at the company in the last five years.
>The lawsuit claimed the company paid women less than men, passed them over for promotions and fostered a “bro culture” that excluded them.
>The lawsuit said that culture led to sexual harassment and misconduct. Allegations of misconduct against women have plagued the video game industry for years.
>Riot Games, which is owned by Chinese internet giant Tencent, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
>The court is expected to confirm the settlement this week.

No they need to do so now more than ever. Folding to the SJW lobby will be a losing strategy long term. Women don't buy video games intended for teens and adults. They buy mobile games and Nintendo type stuff. If you're making a game primarily marketed to and played by boys and men, you tread on very thin ice by giving in to feminists whose sole goal in vidya industry is to obtain affirmative action jobs and jam the games full of propaganda.

You're thinking too hard about a non-issue. This is a slap on the wrist that big tech companies often get, and has nothing to do with the actual content of the games.

If the contend of the games start to suck, gamers will turn to Japan, or even the original content coming out of the favelas. Maybe Russia will use it as their chance to reveal the games they've been working on since Tetris's massive success.

And watch your mouth about Nintendo. Looks like morningstar just downgraded to fairly valued... I'm shaking my damn head...

I don't care about the content of the games. I care about sales. Letting women run the studios because they made a lot of irritating noise will lead to bankruptcy. It won't kill the whole industry, as your point about shifting to other production markets is valid, but it will be bad.

Heh, we're coming at the final hurdle now, nothing has stopped AMRN and I don't see that happening now that the final hurdle is almost here. The time to "stop" AMRN was during the Adcom. The fact that it passed 16:0 is very telling. Big Pharma will buy them. Profit rules all. Soon ARMN will be raking it in by the tons. Big Pharma won't let billions in Profit just go to some small company. Shareholders will get our Fat Green Bags stuffed with cash. They won't buy the "other" guys in the heart pill game cause they have nothing out, won't have anything out for least 5 years, and this assumes that they get past the FDA as well. Yeah I pulled out of that one too early as well. That hard plunge, next day rebound in to let's pretend that didn't happen got me spooked. Anyway, if BILI has the future I think it does, there will be many other opportunities to make money off its rise.

I don’t buy it. Cover those popcorners in that flamin’ hot powder, that shit’ll sell.

Xinjang doesn't have the same kind of international PR team (CIA) compared to Hong Kong, so most Americans have never heard of it.
China is already putting them into reeducation camps and forcibly breeding the Xinny women with Han Chinese men, and no one in the international community really seems to care. I doubt that anything can be done about it now

I mean the bills won't do anything. It's just some senators virtue signalling, saying "China bad". And then in response China will say "no u" and nothing will change
