It's only a tiny bit different than playing a card game in a Casino tho. Some will get rich, most will lose.
Golden Bull Run will never happen again, there is no public interest after the crash in 2017.

I am very amused of the low level of knowledge about economics here in biz board.

Bitcoin is a deflationary coin, and fiat is inflationary. Check for yourself, do your pwn research and try to predict what would happen with both in terms of value in the mid term.

Shit man. You'd have to be pretty shortsighted. Even just a basic understanding of it will show some usecases that are worth a gamble. Any deeper and you realize its litterly the future of global infrastructure.
Code is not law.
But law will be code.

Hodl is a trade move. You're just in a permanent long position sweating at your monitor with your fingers crossed that the price will go up, then scream in agony when the price goes down. Difference is traders make profit both directions

After losing money or barely breaking even after the stock decided to keep going down long term and getting stuck bagholding. And then losing money on options.

I'm no longer directly playing on the stock market after losing thousands.

Card games in casino can be divided to 3 types:
1. You are playing against casino (for example, roulette)
2. You are playing against casino, but there are other players whose choices affect your expectation value of winning (for example, blackjack)
3. You are playing against other players and casino takes a fee (for example, poker)
Let's define 'sport' as an ideology where you think you have an advantage in skill (for example, due to immense practice which others at the table haven't done) and your only goal is to win money in the long term.

Type number 1 cannot be played as a sport, because even with best choices the casino always wins in the long run.

Type number 2 cannot be played as a sport, because even with the best choices, the other players in the table can make poor choices and cause you to lose money in the long run.

Type number 3 IS a sport and has nothing to do with gambling. If you are good, you win. If you are professional, you win big. These games don't differ at all from chess or ice hockey or 100 m sprint. The better you are, the more you win. For example, in poker about 25% of the top players win money.
