I agree to a certain extent, but there's been some discussion on the forums, subreddit, here, etc about feeling uneasy registering with something unknown to most, as well as the fees Uphold has. The length the KYC goes to as well.

I pay my taxes and have to admit I wasn't too keen on taking a selfie for Uphold on top of taking pics of my driver's license AND my passport. I'm just thinking in the sense that a ton of normies at least know and trust Coinbase. The fees will be less harsh (lol) and people would be more willing to complete KYC with them over Uphold.
