Apparently people unironically take drugs? I'm 32 years old and have never befriended anyone who does drugs, but I've heard a lot of business owners do.

I don't even drink to begin with. Why do business owners use drugs?

It's a fun aspect of existence, playing around with the system you use to interpret reality itself: your mind. It can teach you interesting things about life if you don't become an addict.
For example, cocaine taught me about my own reward system and how my behavior and decisionmaking are conditioned based on expected rewards and fear of pain.

It’s a fun experience. Sure it may not be good for you but who the hell wants to live forever anyway? At what cost? I’ve personally decided to take a long break from drugs with maybe the occasional psychedelic (most of them have good safety profiles and are non toxic and non addictive) but I’ve had some eye-opening experiences with drugs. Had some shitty experiences as well but honestly they built character. Of course there is a downside. Got addicted to smoking hash daily and it turned me into a lazy fuck but thank god ive quit now and feel like my old self again. Didn’t have any problems with all the others though

different ways of protecting/processing against stress. if a business owner works 70 hours a week, undergoes constant stress, and the only thing preventing him from an aneurism or a necking is some beer and weed, there’s literally nothing wrong with it. we were smoking weed in our cars outside school and taking shots out of water bottles at 11am at my public high school

It 100% is and I don’t understand why people these days say that marijuana isn’t a gateway drug and make it seem like that’s only an opinion “boomers” as some retards would say and cops have when it completely is. Also don’t understand why marijuana is being touted as good so much these days while smoking is absolutely demonised when honestly they’re both super bad for you and in the long run make you more anxious and less abl to deal with stress. I say only people who know themselves very well should do drugs because they can be honest with themselves about their consumption and their addiction potential. Sadly I didn’t realise how much of an addictive, rush-seeking personality I had until I’d fallen into a bit of a spiral. But like I was saying it’s not all bad, I don’t have any regrets apart from wishing I hadn’t got into the habit of smoking hash and convincing myself for so long that it was okay because I only smoke at night

This is thread is a defining characteristic of someone I would hate to be around. Someone who’s lying to themselves. Too comfortable in their current ways of thinking to not even conceive how most humans who’ve ever lived have resorted to some form of drug use. You are the exception, not the norm. I’m not encouraging the use of mind altering substances, but to not even understand why people do it is either willful ignorance or pure retardation.

It's because Westerners are mostly atheists nowadays, and even Christians see Christianity as a tradition rather than a religion.
Literally everyone is living on the surface, ego taking all the decisions, nobody can survive 5 minutes in a quiet room. You guys have the brains of drug addicts even before you take your first drugs.
Stuff like inner smiling, microcosmic orbit or Shamrock sufi meditation are seen as mumbo-jumbo, and without those, if you're not going to overcome your inner problems, you have to at least distract yourself from them in order to cope with life. That's when drugs come in and provide a solution.

Dumb faggot. Your brain is literally made of drugs. You have drugs coursing through your entire body right now, even before you were even born. Increasing the amount of production of those drugs in your body or adding a new drug to what is already a cocktail of drugs inside you is negligible. If you don't understand this and how to manage the drugs that your body produces naturally then you are going to wind up addicted to porn or videogames or food some shit because hurrrr i dun do druq while you eat snacks all day spiking your insulin and fucking up your body chemistry, or gambling or playing videogames and flooding your brain with dopamine etc which actually are POWERFUL drugs, more powerful than fucking THC that's for god damn sure.

This is the basis of mind control, sex magic, etc. Leveraging the production of those drugs by drawing your attention to stimuli and then using that against you by making pavlovian corelations to other feelings or emotions etc. Jews are doing this all the time on this board by posting BBC and thot memes with messages about how you should give up and kill yourself etc, that's why we have such a high uptick in the current generation of young men being attracted to becoming trannies and cucks and porn addicts.

You don't get a choice whether or not you take drugs. You're taking them right now so you better fucking learn how to maintain and manage them or you are going to be fucked.

I work a very stressful job (attorney) and I don’t do any drugs, but I do drink a lot when I come home from work.

I think the only reason I don’t take stimulants is 1) I’m afraid to buy them and get in trouble with the law, and 2) I wouldn’t know which ones to take/where to get them.

That being said, if I knew where to buy some legal stimulants I’d be all over that shit. But just like OP, now that I’m out of law school I really don’t know anybody who’s taking drugs besides CBD or alcohol/caffeine.

people get into drugs because of what they do. They make you feel good, they make the world more interesting, they allow you to think in ways you couldn't sober, they make sex more enjoyable and food taste better. The only problem with them is that their is a price to pay, either in physical health, mental health, withdrawals, or the even just the dollar price tag. That's it.
