1) They have no pricing power because oil is a commodity so the market dictates prices.
2) They have no competitive moat because there is half a dozen other supermajors who do exactly the same.

I don't think anyone has an idea how this situation will play out.
On one side you hear that both Russia and Saudi Arabia can't hold on with this oil price for very long, and they might reach a deal sooner rather than later.

On the other side the whole economy is slowed down to a crashing halt; which obviously reduces the need for oil. Also I'm hearing RDS might lower their dividend, which would cause the price to drop sharply futher.

Right now I'm leaning towards this just being the beginning and stocks have a long way to crash.

The thing is though that even if you buy right now, you cannot go wrong on the long term.
As long as you're prepared to not have that money available until 2021; it could really take that long until these stock prices recover.
