Same, don't worry we're gonna be rich and I don't mind waiting out volatility while sitting on some comfy 15% divs. At least we're not like the autists shitposting about buying airlines and cruiselines. F.

I believe oil stocks amazing long term investment
But the broader market hasn’t tanked yet and when it does oil stocks to crash further
just my humble autistic opinion though

Oil dropped 50% before the marked had finished it's first 20% dip, may drop more but is overall already derisked compared to the broader market. I expect oil to be one of the first sectors to begin recovering in earnest as well, typically very forward looking asset and contracts will have to be bought up in bulk when economy starts to turn on in order for manufacturing to startup again.

Which are your top 5 ?
I may tempted if the divs. are indeed 15%
That’s great valuation

Husky energy is my oil allin right now but I've split between common shares which I bought at 15 and 20% div levels (caught that fire sale 4 weeks ago) and preferred shares which I bought at 8% levels. I don't expect the common div to get cut but it's my way of managing the risk.

Mid cap leaf company with 60% honk Kong ownership (LKS). Would normally not pick a leaf company but I don't want anything too tied to American shale at the moment and I like the fact that the majority shareholder bought at 10x what I'm paying right now and doesn't want to cut divs due to his own stake.

When do you think the oil bottom is going to be lads ?

I read somewhere that the OPEC+ deal would be very hard to actually accomplish and that countries like Russia just wouldn't stick to their promise because they'd have to essentially take out like two Lukoil outputs worth of barrels out of the market or Iraq which has to drop its prod by 400,000 barrels. So i doubt the supply will change that much, plus corona chan already hurt demand pretty badly, and im sure the future financial implications from it will impact the price of oil further.

What company would you recommend to invest in ? I was thinking of buying exxon but their high debt scares me a little, and apparently they and chevron need like 70 dollar per barrel to be more efficient and profitable.

I believe that when a significant proportion of smaller companies go bankrupt or are badly damaged, the big players will benefit in the future by increasing their market share. That's why Exxon and the other majors are against artificial prize stabilizations such as tariffs, they want to sit it out which the smaller ones can't.
