If you want to research penny stocks I would look at the charts and try to figure out what news made it go up or down, how consistent are the news. Also look at % shares owned by insiders/institutions (hedge funds are pulling out of TLRD from what I gather - bad sign and an additional reason why it has been tanking). Financials matter depending on industry. In biopharma you can have companies running at 0 earnings for years. In terms of TLRD (retail) negative earnings are pretty damning. Also things like earnings to revenue ratio. Compare it to competitors and you'll see why stocks like GPS have 20x share price of TLRD.
I'm pretty new to this stock market thing so take whatever I said with a grain of salt. I would be glad if any of you anons would be so kind to add something to whatever I said or correct it.
