I've been growing my own for years, just recently made it my living when medical got made legal here. I top after 3rd node then top every 2nd node, I top about 8 times in a 45 day veg cycle. Then spend 60-80 days on flower.

We're required by the state to have a sample from each crop sent in to state labs and it's tested for contaminants and potency, and full screen lab test on a single strain is about $450, I do 3 strain per harvest at 40 plants per strain, 15000 watts per 40 plants, 90,000~ grams per harvest on a quarterly cycle.

Oklahoma, only cost $2500 for state licensing can grow on any property zoned, comm, industrial, or agricultural. My initial startup from leasing first property, to installing lights, paying utilities, tanks, pots, nutes, getting first crop to harvest cost me just shy of $27,000. This is my 2nd crop, will gross just under $300k.

yes, if you've lived in the state at least 18 months, the grow license does increase to $10,000 in october, I've already paid for this years renewal to not have to pay the increase for at least another year.

This a pic of the 2 ak-47 and the forbidden fruit daddy, the moment his sacks form, I'll cover him with something, then use a q-tip to apply the pollen to the lower buds on the females, I'll then treat the buds with silver to feminize the seeds, package them all up and save them for when I'm ready to add to a harvest.

p much, If I pollinate 1-2 plants per harvest, I've got a surplus of feminized seeds as well, and with the current shortage, good genetics are fetching a pretty penny. about $20 worth of solution feminizing seeds, will produce about $10k worth of seeds if I decide to bank seeds as well.

Every single aspect of the marijuana industry is a sellers market at the moment. There's plenty of growers, but nobody wants outdoor, so indoor operations like mine set our own prices.

While marijuana is federally prohibited, oklahoma isn't barring licensed growers from owning firearms, and most dispensary owners and farmers are well armed.

We do sit on literal loads of cash, one of my competitors recently had someone lift his entire safe from his house with a crane and take it away on a flatbed while he was at the lake this weekend. This hippy has an NFA collection that would make /k/ want to shoot themselves.

I could get $3500+ for alot of my crop, but I sell to dispensaries owned by friends, I'm happy making $1500/#, we also do our own processing, so I sell myself pounds for $1500/ then turn and press dabs, and sell for $60-$80 per gram. I don't even include that revenue in my grow profits, since we only do about 400 grams of dabs per harvest.

The neighbors on either side of my house are cops, they know what I do, I pay my HOA double dues to keep security on my street at night, I've also got a flir home surveillance system, and multiple firearms in the house to defend it. Having the cash doesn't bother me, I do wish I could keep more in the bank though, but it's risky, FDIC won't cover our money, so the banks feel risk keeping it, they can't put pot money in their general fund, so they worry about getting robbed too with too many cannabis customers. If I went with a full service bank, I would pay up to $5k a month to keep my money protected. I'm just not ready to pay $50k a year for full service checking, I'll wait out federal prohibition, and it's coming soon, they're getting tired of us reporting less than half of what we make and there's currently no way to track out earnings, unless everyone is honest, from the growers, to the patients, to the budetenders, we all do our transactions in cash.

It has really boosted the state economy though, so many people moving from other markets to try and break in here, because it's so easy out here. But the locals have already cornered the market, so unless you're an absolute genius in the industry, or a well renowned grower with cred from oaksterdam, you're at the bottom of the barrel when you get here, and the locals aren't easy to get in with to rub elbows.

There are alot of cali implants doing fine, one of the dispensaries I'm partnered with, the owner is an old cali grower, and he had a rough start finding anyone that would let him use the land for pot, being an out of state implant.

I have several thousand jars already. I don't use plastic for any of my packaging. Gallon canning jars are our main container, we don't strictly wholesale, so we've got jars all the way down to half pint for the smaller shops wanting to try something new.

Cali still produces more surplus then we do, alot of folks don't see it worth the risk to double the money in dallas, when they can catch a trafficking charge. The cali pot will turn a smaller profit, but otherwise it would have went to waste. You'd be surprised how much cali and washington state pot find its way here.

I'm not selling to random people. I know people who do sell to random people, it's easy, you have to keep track of every seed you put in the ground, or clone you produce, but you don't have to keep tracking a plant once you right it off to pests, disease, or any other reason to take it to harvest. Those plants 9 times out of 10 don't actually have an issue, the grower, just wants it off the books.

I work in a single state, selling directly to dispensaries, my total cost per pound produced is under $140 right now, and I put it to market for over 10x that, and many people make 20x that. you're full of shit, or less intimate with the industry than you believe.
