RSV is a stablecoin that is "asset-backed". If it goes up they mint RSV and sell them each for $1 in RSR if there is an excess pool of RSV available.
Notice that some think RSR going to be $1 believing either that RSR itself is stable coin, or 1 RSR = 1 RSV, which is misconception. Again, read the whitepaper.

Although current supply of RSV does not indicate everything at all, we need mainnet release to truly see the ratio of RSV/RSR.
You just need to ask yourself what's faster: them minting new RSV and selling them for collateral to cool the price back to $1, or them running out of collateral and minting new RSR to buy more collateral? (lowering the price of RSR). Answering this question gives you an estimated price for RSR.

Checked etherscan and saw that there are some arbitraging with USDC, PAX and TUSD happening yet they are not really successful (i guess because of massive gas prices which means it may need ETH2 to get actually useful)
