I think this will pull a FTM and more so. FTM is only capable/competent because of 1 dev that left. The ONE team is entirely competent. We're just waiting for the right annoucement.

solana and serum basically made harmony obsolete in about 3 days, whereas harmony spent a year putzing around and not coming up with a clear business plan.

Also Harmony’s tokenomics suck. No surprise VCs dumped again and again. Look at its price action lately. Compare to yfi’s. Compare to polkadot, solana.

Harmony’s staking rewards suck compared to many other projects out there.

The sooner you realize all this the sooner you will make money. Do you want to be right or do you want to make money?

The complacent audacity of some of you people is just palpable.
With that being said, no, I'm not all in on this. I'm genuinely asking what's stopping it from really taking off. It's got the backing from CZ. The project is littered with FAANG even after a few people left. They hang out with Coinbase guys at BBQs too. They presumably have deep connections to Silicon Valley via FAANG.

Frankly, I still think it could go 40x on us. I'm just growing less and less sure about what's holding it back. I used to think lack of marketing or maybe our wait for the full 1000 nodes to be used, but I don't know anymore.
It's very odd to me that it's not taking off still. It was on a steady climb up for months too, so it's not like it isn't on an uptrend or anything.

You're misunderstanding. By use case I mean, you literally cannot use ONE for anything today. But it is easy for defi to transfer over tomorrow because ETH smart contracts will work on it.

I think it could be any day now where all ERC20s can swap to Harmony. The fees would be ~$0 for uniswaping. Could be a really fast transition, and a quick 10x.

Yes I am one of the few. See my other comments. You can't use Harmony's "amazing" blockchain for anything yet. It is useless. However, we're *1* announcement away. The team isn't a bunch of amateurs, just be patient.

When you’re trying to sell a product into a market where everyone is pregnant with another tech you have to do a ton to peel people away.

When your some defi project and you see a crypto with a $30b and a massive ecosystem and exchanges built on eth it can be risky to go with a nobody like harmony.

They might need to spend time making markets in the form of a dex and a defi network. Some uniswap alternative, oneswap.

It is a centraized piece of shit. Yeah yeah i know all about its election system and epochs and other faggy shit, I ran a validator for a while. But the truth is, Binance literally CONTROLS the whole thing. They came along and pick n chose which validators to give 80 MILLION ONE to. They raised the effective stake to whatever the hell they want. It exposed a massive gaping vulnerability in the harmony chain.
