The vintage trading card market is up over 6000% from where it was in 2016. Everyone's getting into this market, don't miss out!!!
>>22978724Pokemon, YuGiOH,MTG, anything else? How much is a Black Lotus compared to the other rare cards?
>>22978724I'll back that
>>22978869The Lotus is fake, and the rest of those cards are under $50. Get good.
>>22978852sports
>>22978971Nope not a fake. I've been playing since alphs, it's a beta in pretty heavily played condition. But you can be jelly when I hit you for two blue mana every turn with a Time Walk on an Isochron Scepter.
I dunno sounds like it's the top of the market. Anyways my friend was showing me how much his psa 10 cards were. I must my old binder around somewhere
>>22978724honestly have been thinking about it whats some new age cheap packs for profit to get into for starters.
might be a decent time to buy collectibles since people are out on their asses and just trying to stay housed
>>22978724so how much you get for that white dragon?
>>22979127War of the Spark, especially Japanese sealed boxes.>>22979126No, we're just getting started.
>>22979201>mightFor a PSA10? $30k currently. Up from $700 4 years ago. The Zard? $2k 4 years ago, $150k now.Alpha Lotus? $20k 4 years ago, $250k now.
>>22978724based cards thread. My next PSA sub posted
how have classic comic books done in the past few years? I just inherited some from a family member.
>>22979655Classic comics have been going nuts in value ever since the start of the MCU. So you just inherited a goldmine.
>>22978869Based.I have a lotus bloom and two gilded lots, are they worth anything?
>>22979730Bloom is $6-8, Gilded is $3-5. Essentially worthless.
>>22979739Meh.I only have cards from mirrodin to ravnica, not even looking.
Based as fuckI'm starting a business on this shit literally rn lol
I only have Pokemon cards in my binder that I used to play with in decks, I probably wouldn't fetch much unfortunately. YGO cards were never even placed in a binder. Fuck me bros
>Tfw my mother threw out all my valuable cards by accident when we were moving house
>>22979005i've got all my baseball, football, and basketball cards from ~1985-1993. every rookie card for every rookie during that time. several thousand cards. i want to sell them.
>>22979798i even have this stupid ass george bush baseball card. lmao.
>>22979798they aren't worth much unless you have a bunch of mint jeter gold or sp rookies. There are a few here and there that are worth a lot like DS chipper jones, UD Griffey, and some tiffany cards, but all in all 85 - 93 was peak junk wax era for baseball
>>22979778honestly, the cards still sell. collectors of all sorts buy, your cards dont have to be in near-mint condition. some of the most expensive coins in the world are in shit condition
>>22979798sorry i missed basketball and football in your post. any jordan fleer base card in mint condition from 86 - 90 has value, 85 being a fuck ton of value and 90 being a few hundred bucks. Shaq topps gold and beam team rookies are blowing up lately and of course Kobe too, but rookie year is 96
>>22979835what about my 1987 michael jordan
>>22978724Ive got the yugioh series 1 classic Harpie Lady deck + lots of other Harpie Lady cards which i won back in the day as a kid, is original classic harpie lady + deck any worth?
>>22979777You and millions of others. The ROI rivals crypto.>>22979845"Collectors". That term is a lie for most; cards are nothing more than a means to an end for most buyers. No one buying crypto calls themselves "crypto collectors". Why do we as consumer product investors feel the need to blatantly lie about our intentions? There is no shame in investing in cards.
>>2297987387 is his second year, which usually means it's the players second most valuable card. ungraded but in really nice condition like 500, PSA 10 (very very unlikely) like 8000. Being that it was in your childhood collection, it probably wont grade better than a 7 or maybe 8 if you took really good care of it over the years, like 300 - 500 or so
>>22979903Hardie Lady is a common, so nah
>>22978724Are Pokemon Gameboy cartridges worth anything?
>>22979951only if they're sealed.
>>22978724i got a ton of old starter deck yugioh cards, first gen blue-eyes, first gen red-eyes and first gen dark magician. Is this worth anything?
>>22979942About 5 years ago combined card value was around $150, is it still around that price tag?
>>22980002you have pics?
>>22979964How do analyzers figure out if you didn't just reseal it yourself? or if some experts didn't recondition the cards? What about completed sticker albums with 152 pokemons and various other pokemon merch and collectables?>inb4 people paying for the original pokemon gum.
>>22980027Am waging rn, if thread stays alive il post
>>22979939all my cards are in nice condition. either they are still in the box set or they are in cases. i was a weird kid. ive got all my comic books too from ~1989-1997-including a gold pantera comic book, spawn #1-5, and others. all in cases, never opened, never had a page bend
>>22979374Very impressive Anon.
>>22980129Thank you. Lebron getting a ring this year would give my collection a huge boost. That and I'm a Lakers fan if the table full of Kobe's didn't give it away.
>>22980118You can go through them and pull the good ones for grading. Be wary though, grading with PSA is now a 9 month or so process and filtering through damaged cards is a chore. PSA 10 literally means almost perfect or perfect, not overlooking any manufacturing errors, meaning most cards fresh out of the pack from the 80's won't get PSA 10. The areas of the card they look at are edges, surface, corners, and centering, and in my opinion, weighted in that order. a micro scratch, but of dust, small hair, ink dots from the printing process, slight discoloration can all fuck up surface grade. It really is a chore, but it is financially rewarding if you have the eye and patience for it.
>>22978724Good luck on the resale value. Seriously no one is buying.
>>22978724cant you just buy the card and send fake back asking for a refund ?
>>22980304Yes you can, but will you get an answer
>>22980304not when they're in PSA, BGS, or SGC cases. The fact they are graded means they are authentic, ebay knows this. And, good luck finding a perfect match acrylic case to put the fake into. All major graders protect their case manufacturing as tightly as Coca Cola controls it's formula. It's not possible to pass fake graded PSA, BGS, or SGC cards onto someone who knows what they're doing, especially considering the value of cards that get graded.
>>22980292What are you talking about? More and more investors every day are discovering this opportunity. It's literally risk-free, high reward.>>22980304That's an investment strategy that I use often to get free shit off people. But it only works on people with low (either less than 95% positive or less than 100 lifetime sales) feedback. Buying empty vintage packs for dirt cheap then resealing them is also a very good way to make some easy $$$. "Unethical", sure, but so is scalping consumer product in general, so who gives a fuck? It's legal, so moral bullshit doesn't matter.
>>22980452>What are you talking about? More and more investors every day are discovering this opportunity. It's literally risk-free, high reward.>trade pieces of paper until you dieMuch like a job I suppose.
>>22980468>like a jobExcept unlike a job, you're making 6+ figures annually while doing less work than a barista.
I have a shitload of pokemon cards somewhere, all in Japanese because the English version was for plebs. They are probably in shitty condition, worth digging out?
>>22980534Still worth digging out. Also, English is king.
>>22980525it's just a job you idiot. stop thinking you're beating the system.
>>22980706No it's not. Making pro athlete money for babysitter effort isn't wagecuckery.
>>22978724I hope that guy on Pawn Stars still has all his Charizards, is he well known in card collecting?
>>22978724>JUMP IN AT THE TOP!seriously if you didn't see this coming, you're a retard
>>22980767Yes, but pioneers like him and AlphaInvestments have largely been overshadowed by the HUGE 9-10 figure net worth celebs that have entered the market over the past couple years. Namely Gary Vaynerchuk (one of the biggest finance gurus around), Jeremy Padawar (major WWE promoter), and Logan Paul (pretty sure he needs no introduction LOL).
>>22980866Why do you think we're at the top?
>>22980706It's more like active investing with compounding gains.
>>22978724So how exactly do you get started in this market?
>>22980976Start with something from the MTG Reserved List. It's a good starting point since there's an actual list of all the cards, so all you have to do is a quick google search.
I bought fucking shadowless unlimited base commons psa10 for 10 bucks like 6 months ago and now they are like 100 this is CRAZEY
>>22978724It's way too fucking late, stop being a fomo retard buying the top

>>22980679Actually? I don't know shit but assumed originals would be. Time to go hunting.
>>22979374>collecting niggers instead of based anime monstersKEK
>>22978724what does this have to do with TOMOCHAIN tho SIR.
>>22981645My great grandpa collected niggers and they were very profitable
>>22979127Don't spec on sealed products, especially if it's recent. Margins are weak af, there are still bazillions boxes of everything post RTR still in circulation and it's a pain in the ass to unload. This meme was started by an eceleb to dump his big bags on retards.Anyway if you don't know what you are doing, you better stay far away from trading TCGs, especially MTG. 90% of the time you'll just lose money. The only way to make some bucks is either to do very big volumes (you can't) or be a god at card evaluation, have very deep knowledge of the game structure and fundamentals, and have ultra sharp intuition about a lot of micro and macro factors. Better tell you it take years and years of being passioned with this and even then it's still a roulette russe-tier gamble because you can be rekt by others factors like constant reprint-dodging, bans, formats falling out of love,...Just don't.
Fantastic day yesterday
>>22979044>leaving a valuable card in a binder like thatno its a fake, you need to seal/protect that shit asap
>>22979044Of course it's a fake, even from there i can tell it's fake af, looks like a gen 6 batch from VZ...
>>22978724Ive got a holographic Pinsir from BASED set 1 that I accidentally dropped in the urinal as a kid because I was holding it. Assuming its PSA 3 or 4 what do ya think itd fetch for

Are my yugioh cards from 2005 worth anything
>>22979205Got 2 sealed cases of Pokemon unbroken bonds what you reckon it hits $1000 a box next year
I got like a foot tall stack of yugioh cards from around 2005 to 2008 probably, that worth much?
>>22978724nothing from my childhood mtg collection is worth over 25 bucks rnis there hope for them in the future? or is it more likely that these pieces of paper will lose all of their value
Most modern collectibles are in a bubble in my opinion.Just consider the fact that traditional boomer collectibles have gone into the shitter and that is not digital items or cardboard we are talking about, but rather rare items that can't be replaced.
Just remembered I also got a shit load of pristine WoW tcg cards all with their packaging still, are people in the market for those?
Best sealed boxes to buy boys?Heard this one is a good one to sit on for a few years but sold out as soon as it went on sale last Friday.
>>22982649Got mine 2day $110 AUD each
Also got a couple of these new mtg sets
>>22982874>>22982888do you quick flip or going to wait a couple years and sell when price goes up?
>>22982874>>22982888What you saying on those MTG sets, good investment anon? You'll make stacks on those Champion Path sets though, my guy
>>22983140Will wait a few years for sure I reckon. 2x now, 5x in a few years, mad.
How much could I get for it? I have the entire base set, about 50/50 first edition including this Charizard. They've been sitting in my closet for decades now.
I had a huge pile of yu gi oh crap that I sold last year. Bought tsla with it and it's damn good. Btw, this will only last 1 generation as most of these series were made to shill the card games. Sell when you feel you need the cash. Also the market isn't very liquid.
>>22978869Brownfinger... we meet again.
>>22980273I've never got a psa10 back. A couple 9s. Absolute perfect cards have come back 6. fucking niggers. perfect centering color edges corners everything. fucking 6s.
>>22983140>>22983155Yep def a long hold 2-5 yrs at least
>>22983142Not a big mtg guy but these are new type of booster so just got a couple

>>22978724Check out my dark magician girl collection. Yes, that’s a first edition mint mfc 000 there! And I put some nudes next to it too for some emphasis, got to have fun with it
>>22978971NEET detected go shave your neck nigger fag
>>22983718>>22983488how much are these worth anon?
I won my state’s Upper Deck Day in yugioh tele dad format and got a Gold Sarcophagus. Not selling until it’s worth $20k.Also have a bunch of high rarity meta cards like champion pack book of moon, trap dustshoot, bottomless, etc. I screwed up though and I don’t have any max rarity cards from the TV show.
>>22978724can i buy cards anywhere with crypto?wheres best place to get started with pokemon tcg cards?
>>22983349I have a case of Champion's Path too. How tf do you ship these things? They fit into a USPS flat rate medium box but that's $15 fucking dollars.
>>22983718Honestly nothing too insane. All of them are first edition though. The mint mfc is probably $1700, the gem mint collectors tin is $400, Gem mint dragon knight dark is $300 and the Gem mint japenese exclusive is probably $200. The rest are probably around $50-$100. Around $3000 for the whole collection I would say, maybe $2500 after fees and accepting offers. I like them though, maybe I’ll never sell
>>22983866Meant to reply to this
Any other pokemon boxes worth buying? Saw the ones posted above but looks long sold out.
>>22984018mint ones from the tin can be $400? i have like 5 or 6 of those. do you think it’s worth it to get them all graded? i have an unlimited MFC one also
>>22978724>hell yeah buy this useless old cardboard the inflation is driving prices up so that means it's a good investment
>>22984018How you like the secret rare 1st ed Movie pack DMG? I have like twenty. Don't know if I should get them graded and unload them or hold long term.
>>22978724I remember having a dark charizard when i was a kid. I wonder how much it's worth now. I sold about 400 pokemon cards for £4 when I was 13
Shameless marble.cards shill. I never liked any magic, pokymans, or sports nigger collecting (or any other NFTs for that matter) but there's something very fun and cool about the marble cards formula.
>>22978869>No Blacker Lotus
That might be a shadowless charizard if it isn't fake. That is worth more then a unlimited one by alot but nothing compared to a first edition one.
>>22984071Yeah the tins are worth it, I would get them all graded if they have a shot at mint or gem mint (no visible marks or edge wear). >>22984096Dark magician girl was like everyone’s crush who played the game. Her and blue eyes white dragon are pretty memorable, at least around my area. I would hold solid. The movie packs are still hard to get a 10 but I think by this point, a lot of people sleeved the cards as soon as they got out of the pack since mfc 000 was still worth a lot when the movies came out.
>>22978724I've been flipping MTG collections for 3 years now, great way to get extra income.
Anyone here collecting tiny metal cars?
I was thinking of getting into the TCG business. My only concern with card values is you still have to find someone to pay that price.A 1st edition starter deck yugi and Kaiba go for like 1k easily. But who is going to make that much?
>>22984926You generally need to pay above store buylist prices and then below market prices. So you really need to expect to get 15-20% below "market" price for what you're selling. Your best bet is to sell via ebay so you need to factor those prices in or sell on facebook groups. TCGplayer is open to US residents and I believe has cheaper fees than Ebay so might be easier to go that route instead. Yugioh cards have a much smaller market than Pokemon and MTG; My exp mostly comes from MTG and the market moves fast good cards will sell within a week or two on ebay.
>check ebay for 1st edition sealed 10/10 charizards>some sponsored links from some lunatics selling at 15k>already on 2nd page price goes as low as 400 for same conditionzoomers are braindead
Why noone invented cards (hockey, pokemon, ...) digital version yet?

Oh man I just sent my Batman Adventures #12 to CGC, haven't gotten it back yet so can't post any images but I am excited to partake in this thread.
>>22982598In the 70s and 80s vintage furniture, paints, and decor in general was growing at the same rate. My mom specializes in identifying those kinds of items and resells. She is saying that the market isn't even a fraction of what it used to be as people my age simply don't want to buy them. The bubble lasts only as long as the generational interest does, but how one gauges that is hard to know. She was routinely seeing the same returns as many of you are now. 10x 50x 100x in many cases in less than 5 year periods. Its a shame to because some of these items were top craftsmanship and incredibly low circulation to where it eventually wouldn't exist anymore if not kept in pristine condition. People wanted printed pictures on cardboard/mass produced plastic(FunkoPop or whatever its called) over gorgeous handcrafted items. No doubt there is tons of money to be made with TCGs but how do you find when a collectible is reaching its end and get in early on the next trend?
>>22988139I think it's all cyclical, anon. Comic books are generally out of fashion too but in like 30 years when the kids now who are all exposed to this shit via movies and video games are boomers & have money and want some cool "vintage" collectible to show off to their friends, there will be another surge in sales and prices. My dad collected vintage guitars and amps and at the height some of those guitars were worth $15,000+ alone, but younger generations don't have that to spend on an instrument and the market has shrunk so prices have dropped. When electronic music is all played out and analog music is super cool again, people with money will want those early 50's and 60's fenders.I'm a 35 y/o boomer and I bought some vintage furniture recently, really nice pieces. I got an amazing desk and dresser from the 50's each in near perfect condition. To think I own a piece of furniture that not only looks cool but has lasted 70 years, when most modern furniture you buy won't last you more than 5. I will buy vintage furniture whenever I can, honestly. It's just not that easy to find. Also I paid like $600 for both of these and online they each sell for ~$1500 a piece so I got a deal going to a guy local who does the same thing - collects and refurbs and resells. I probably wouldn't have paid $3k for these but maybe for the desk I would have dropped the $600 alone. As long as it's comparable in price to what I'd be shopping for I'll take a good vintage piece any day of the week because the craftsmanship is so much higher.
>>22988139Oh also does your mom have a website or something where she sells? Not that I want you to doxx yourself but if it's convenient for me I'm probably going to be moving into a bigger house in a year or two and would love to have another place to shop for good furniture.
>>22988139This generation is just now surpassing baby boomers in spending power. Only 1 in 10 are making over 100k, which should grow by 2030. It’s hard to say because we saw magic internet money moon, who is to say collectibles won’t either? Pokémon and magic are popular more than ever today as well.
>>22982023You're an idiot if you think there is nothing wrong with leaving a lotus in a binder.Jesus christ.
>>22987567Buying them locally mostly from facebook groups or kijiji (Canadian craigslist).
>>22979241>anon gets a lesson in liquidity
>>22981599Cut your nails you animal
>>22988842I’m asking why that specific binder is bad, dickhead. Fuck you
>>22983347are your looking at the cards under a 5x magnifyer with soft LED lighting? You're missing something or not grading them harsh enough. I look at something like 2000 cards to find around 100 9/10 and maybe like 5 certain PSA 10, and even then it still depends on the grader you get.
Henlo again /biz/ frens.I did it. I pulled the Champion's Path Charizard on pack 32. I will not be opening my other 46 elite trainer boxes and will be selling them to dumbasses for $120 each next month.
>>22989584Unfortunately I don't know that it's psa 10 worthy or I would send it off by express to try to flip it for a hilarious premium
>>22978724Where do you go to source prices? I know plenty of sites for comics, but not sure where to go for TCGs
>>22978724How much are PSA 10 1st Charizards now? I almost bought one as a meme back in 2017. Think it was around $20k back then. How bad did I fuck up?

>>22982598You forget that boomers weren’t internet savvy. Keep in mind that most card “collectors” aren’t actually real collectors, but rather scalpers, whether they be long term hodlers or short term flippers. That’s why cards will survive; more price action means more people getting into the market. Success attracts new investors.Actual collectors who aren’t in it for the money and actually want this cardboard garbage are permavirgin losers, and a TINY fraction of the market.>>22983266Hi Sunny Huang>>22983889Sarco is already $12k, so you’re more than halfway there.>>22981689No you don’t. All you need to know is “reserved list”, “WoTC Pokémon” and “DM/GX Yugioh” and you’re good. The opportunity is literally risk-free, high reward. Yeah you have to know shit to make money off modern shit but no one would do that; you have to actually know shit, AND even if you do the returns are way lower than vintage. Stick with vintage; it’s idiot-proof, and the returns are way higher.
>>22984119I just sent in a 1st ed Dark Charizard and 1st ed Blaine's Charizard for grading last week. IF they come back as grade 10s they will be worth a few thousand each.

With eBay cases, even though it’s not illegal, it will ruin your reputation among other investors and no one will buy from you. With pack resealing, you’ll never get caught. >>22990789Online magic is shit IMO, if the tabletop game dies there is no way I'd bother with MTGO or arena.>>22990997This anon is right triple sleeve expensive cards also binder dings can be an issue but you were smart enough to put it away from the rings at least.
>>22978724>please buy my overpriced cardboard at a 6000% premiumkekwith all the noise regarding NFTs and blockchain gaming im gonna go out on a limb and say this is the top for legacy tcgs
>>22991401Dude i like playing inrandom. With friends. But I hate playing against fast neckbeard randos. Its much easier to build decks, play games whenever i want online.Fuck playi j g in real life.I'll play commander with some friends but that was back in college
>>22991418I'd say for everything that isn't MTG and pokemon you're right. There will be a correction but it's not ogre at least not for magic. Revenue keeps increasing spergs are still buying standard boxes with shitty EV. Eventually players will stop buying because the value isnt there and they'll simply stop being so jewey with reprint
>>22991475If you're ultra casual I'm sure its fine but the value is horrific as you can't sell or do anything with your cards. I love tabletop because if you're smart you can monetize your hobby and make decent money while enjoying the game. EDH is by far the GOAT format and the only one I actually play now.
>>22991537Yeah fair enough. I just play for the game, not to collect the cards.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha>250k for some cardboardhahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahhahretard
>>22991021The nerds aren't the people who invest in PSA graded vintage. The nerds are the people who play TCGs & flip modern shit i.e; hobbyists. Investing in vintage isn't a hobby; you don't have to know shit, and the ROI is comparable to crypro.
>>22991584>looks at 7-8 figure shiny rocks >looks at 8-9 figure paintings LMAOOO 250k is NOTHING compared to other vintage investables.
>>22991537EDH is the goat format, its the first type of game I played, bought a breya deck, have it laying around somewhere. It is cool handling the physical cards.Standard on mtg arena is fuckes right now because omnath and every new release seems like there is some cards that make ramp ridiculous I'm playing dimir rogue right now, trying to get to mythic at least. But I'm about to try their brawl format, similar to edh I think
>>22991156Baseball card price should predict the future price of MTG cards. Have baseball card prices dropped?
>>22978724
Price check?? Some very expensive listings on ebay. Paid like $20 years ago. Sealed
Someone make a trading card general
i have a tin full of cards. Tell me what to look for and I can offer a premium if you pay in crypto (trying to increase my ampleforth stack). I also have DBZ trading cards
>>22991957How many cards you got and are they pokemon or MTG? If they're MTG provide an email and I can help letting you know what's valuable.
>>22980874go back you insufferable cunt
they''re yugioh. Somewhere between 300 and 700 cards (forgot the count from the first time I sold them). I do have some MTG cards (2 cards) but I found them in a trash bag on the floor of a rave. I also have some duel masters cards
>>22978724>The vintage trading card market is up over 6000% fromI don't know shit about these cards. How to buy valuable cards? and where? Also... ILLIQUID MARKET
>>22992100>>22992043
>>22990465Bottom row is trash but you have a few bucks up top.
>>22992100Very few yugioh cards are worth much due to Konami constantly reprinting them. Maybe another anon can help you though.>>22992116MTG is very liquid as you can buylist cards to stores worst case scenario. TCG player, Ebay, and facebook are great ways to flip and are very liquid too. Unsure about other TCGs though.
>>22991601so there's no real buying pressure outside of people speculating? nobody actually wants these cards because they are a fan
>>22991627wowthose things are not even in the same realmsthe irony of your name is incrediblethis whole thread is fucking massive cringe
Will things even sell if they are graded but not mint? I just check sold listings on Ebay and I have secret rare Dark Magician and LOB Swords of Revealing Light that are probably 8s at best and they went for 1500 and 1000 respectively. Its a shame I played with all these cards when I was younger I was 15 and am 30 now. Who knew? I have more I'm still checking but damn man. I found those 2 in just a few minutes.
>>22992175thanks anon, guess I'll just reorganized them so they're all upright. Someone offered me $50 for all of them a while back and since it's tied to my childhood I just said fuck it and kept it
IYKYK
>>22992286you realize the only people who care about these old ass cards are all dying in the next 10-20 years

>>22992286now try to sell them for what you think they’re worth
>>22981914Sounds like you have been butt fucked before.... Sorry you can't handle such a leet combo. Maybe if you have played as long as I have you'd have a few spare time walks as well.
>>22981730I mean I keep everything I've ever had in binders. I've been playing since alpha. So don't be so butt hurt you weren't on the collecting train earlier
>be me >12>found a Winged dragon of ra card in a dollar store pack>dad throws all my cards in the trash when we moved
>>22982874their price has gone x2 already.should i buy pic related instead? Also the shiny charizard is 550eu any expections of being 1000 each within 2 years? The shiny looks more impressive than the rainbow shit
>>22992318Wrong. >>22992286Thats fucking nice
>tfw had a binder absolutely filled to the brim with rare/holo yugioh cards that was stolen by a "friend"
Baseball cards are making a comeback too, I don't think it's grassroots interest but more like a symptom of working-class people looking to escape inflation with collectibles much like nerds have gravitated to crypto
are you saying my five Exodia cards are finally worth something?!
>>22993269It started in 2016 with Rudy from AlphaInvestments. Then we saw cards moon even more starting last year when I got into the market.
>>22993053Bought this today. Lucky, They had just stocked in my shop and was actually there for lego. Wondering how long i should hold before selling
>>22990097my mom threw away my snes because she thought it was old garbage
>>22979044lmao time walk is a sorcery you can't put it on Isochron. you should visit /tg/ sometime mate and learn the rules of the game
>>22993271Always been
>>22992997>dollar store packIt was fake, you idiot.
Anything looking juicy? I thought these were worthless. Lol
>>22993464The Zard alone is over $100.
>>22993328nice anon
>>22993464Do I hop on raiable and make a nft? Then to a physical burn to increase the value? Or are you guys selling on eBay?
>>22992925Someone needs to RTFC. Isochron is instants only, retard. Now that it's been incontrovertibly shown what a brainlet you are, I as your superior am expecting you to sell your entire collection to your nearest LGS and never touch cardboard again for the rest of your niggerlicious life. YOU ARE WELCOME.
>>22993487Meant to respond to you. Turn these into nfts on rari right?
>>22993538No dude that nft shit is years ahead of its time. Sell it on eBay or tcgplayer, people like to display the real physical copy.
>>22993702The more I think about it owning the oldest nft charizard could be profitable in the future.
>>22979760>mirrodin to ravnicawhy these ones?
>Charizard is only 5'7''Never realized he was such a manlet
>>22993842It's in pokemon inches, retard.
>>22979818did you get the Fauci one?
One question:Could these cards be put on NTF blockchain?
>>22994092There are a few shitty ones on rari right now. I have to take a few good pics and I’ll have a few tradable soon.
>>22978724Yugioh magic or Pokémon lads?
>>22978724mfw I put a 1st edition blue eyes in my schools time capsule at 10 years old.i doubt they even remember that thing is buried out there, or where it even is.
>>22989584based
>>22980452Lol, how is it scalping when some of this shit ceased production over 20 years ago? That's like saying all antiques dealers are scalpers. Even in a case where someone actually is scalping modern product, people are willing to pay, so who cares?Dirtbag losers like you ruin the market for everyone and give real hustlers a bad name.
>>22989212to give a real answer binder dings are notorious for happening on the three left slots and the bottom right slot is in danger of bending (from being stood straight up on a shelf and gravity could cause it to slip lower than the covers so it could be standing directly on the shelf)also older 9 card binder sheets (think 90's and before) were known to be made out of harmful plastics that could damage the coloring of the cards after a long time. when protective sleeves came out much later that problem was known and addressed. not really sure if people still worry about this asmuch but wouldnt suprise me if alot of them are still floating around
>>22994170>There are a few shitty ones on rariIs it worth buying?
>>22978724cards are below second life in terms of autism
>>22995326It's not illegal, and it's very profitable, so who cares? Your morals are irrelevant.
Millennials and zoomers have nothing better to spend their money on while living with parents. 100% disposable income. This is what happens.Enjoy the bubble.
>>22995565It's not a bubble, it's a paradigm shift. More and more investors every day are discovering this risk-free, high reward opportunity.
>>22995555Blatantly illegal, just difficult to prove and prosecute. It's theft and mail fraud.
>>22991401really want some of these original dual lands but i aint paying $200-300 for one. considering 100's of thousands were printed in revised i could see them crashing soon or even a secret layer being done of them. they are just too overpriced
>>22995707Exactly. Won't get caught. It's like pirating movies.
>>22995733First of all, prices are only going up. Again, it's a PARADIGM SHIFT, not a bubble. Second of all, Duals didn't skyrocket because of investors, they've been $$$ way before the Investor Era of Cards started. They skyrocketed several years before cards became a real asset class, because of the growth of Legacy thanks to the SCG Open. Albeit they were $100s back then, and have since tripled in value during the investor era.
>>22995616Bits of paper that can easily be faked and stolen.Actually youve given me a good idea to roll some fat nerds after they leave their yugioh meets.
>>22993487
>>22995851Its not a paradigm shift its just millenials and boomers too stupid to get into actual investments so they keep playing with cards. Its like saying that muscle car investment was a paradigm shift.
>>22995888
>>22995912
Is my Mikey worth anything yet?
>>22992493Lmao check your eyes friend none of those are double masters, mana crypt is eternal masters. Rest are all foil.>>22994680Magic or pokemon are by far the best choice. Konami print yugioh cards into oblivion.>>22995883None of the actual investable cards can be easily faked and it is a great way to get some extra income if you know the hobby/have a business mind.
>>22995778I have a high-feedback, high-volume account and only sell graded cards and junk lots, so at least I won't be the one getting ripped off.Best of luck scamming noobs.
I wish I knew wtf this card is or how to find it. Probably try the serial number or something but its in mint. >>22995888>>22995912>>22995946Based on sold listings for Ebay I could get 2000-3000 if I get some of these graded. Unfortunately a lot are 8s at best but there are some that are 9 and even 10 here If I had to guess.
>>22988986that card is italian why you found it in Canada? How to buy good cards?
>>22995981Yeah. You won't get scammed. It's the people who sell raws and have either under 100 annual sales or under 98% positive feedback who are easy to scam.
So I have a shit load of MTG from early 2010 untill about 2014. Would those be worth breaking apart old decks and scalping some cash? Curious what a good site would be to get pricing on rares/mythics.
i have so many old yugi hoe and pokemane and nigger ball cards its not even funny. will definitely look through them and sell them to basedboi fags maybe theyll make up for my losses this year kek
>>22996097Gotta know what you're doing and looking for. If you're new to magic which you seem to be I highly recommend monetizing another hobby you're familiar with instead. Takes a lot of time to learn the ins and outs if you're not into the game I can only imagine it'd be a nightmare to try and understand the financial side of it.>>22996224MTG is all about quality cards not quantity, so it really depends on what those cards are. Best bet is using something like delver lens/TCGplayer app to scan all your rare/mythic cards to see prices quickly. Anything under $10 probably not worth listing on ebay or trying to sell.
>>22978724Idk about cards, but most of my death grips vinyls are over a 100 CAD now. Fucking no love deep web is fetching around 130 cad on discogs. The powers that B is fetching about 200 on discogs, feels pretty good i collected all them a while ago.
>>22996396>VinylsLmao vinyl. But yeah good call snagging those I have all their releases too, sadly have an exmilitary bootleg but still got em all.
>>22996396My drain gang merch is worth quite a bit as well.$600 hoodie, another $300 hoodie, CDs worth $100+, a handful of tshirts worth $200-$300.
>>22995326The difference is that those antiques weren't mass produced and sold at big box stores around the world. Aside from very early MTG (pre-Revised) and actually unique things like prize cards, no card is actually all that rare in reality. Something like a Charizard being 150k or a Blue-Eyes being 30k is entirely due to investors, not due to organic demand. I've been around the market for over 15 years and I know what goes on. And guess what? Whether you like or not, resealing happens as well. And it's an extremely profitable venture. So is weighing packs. So is even filing false item not as described cases to get free shit from rookie sellers. Your morals are irrelevant, this is just stuff that happens. AlphaInvestments has talked about all of this constantly on his channel; if it's profitable and you're not putting yourself at risk of getting in legal trouble, you may as well go for it. It is what it is.
>>22996342For playables? Yeah it's hard for noobs to understand. For collectors cards? Nah. Even a trained monkey can understand that market and make bank off them. You don't need to research the meta or get good or anything, you just need to do a few quick Google searches (for Reserved List, WoTC Pokémon, etc). If Logan Paul can do it, anyone can.
>>22995989Looks like magic box of death
>>22996415Nice man, I think my favorite death grips vinyl I own is the RSD Steriods vinyl, you can't even find that one on Ebay anymore. I have a bootleg Government Plates and exmilitary, those are the only two i'm probably never going to own officially unless i make some big bank some day. I have a feeling Steriods and Fashion Week are going to be a couple hundred in a year or two.
>>22996342I'm downloading that app now. As far as pricing, the ones that are under $10 or so like you say, would maybe bundling them together like "100 random rares for 100 bucks" deal be worth it?
>>22981658
>>22996568You aren't going to make much money if you're buying at market price, especially not now. And knowing when a piece of cardboard is under/overvalued reserved list or not isn't easy for someone who doesn't play.>>22996583Seeing someone on /mu/ turn their original pressing of exmilitary into a bowl makes me cringe.>>22996584$100 for 100 rares won't get any bites, maybe if you had a lot in the $5+ range it would make sure to showcase those cards in the pictures. For an idea of value I sold 1000 bulk rares+mythics to someone for $200, all the rares were $3 or less.
>>22996506You're a fucking piece of shit Gary
>>22979005sport cards arent worth shit nobody collects modern ones. the only ones worth anything were made before the 1960s
I have a holo 1st edtion charizard sitting in a closet, is it worth anything? I see ebay listings for $5000+ but who buys at those prices?
whats a good graded pokemon card to buy at retail rn to hold for a decade?
>>22997901Any holo from the WoTC era. There's a link to what sets are from that era in the general:>>22992469
>>22979374im jealous>>22990997I just went through my old collection and being 12 I barely knew about toploaders so I had some of them in top loaders but its funny to see which I did and didn't. I didnt even have my charizards in toploaders or soft sleeve just bare ass in the binder and now they're slightly bent in the middle. Meanwhile I had a couple of fake japanese cards toploadered. anyway where do I get it psa graded?
I found 6 holo Charizards and the full holo gym leader cards. These worth anything? I have a binder full of holos and another 2 binders full of uncommons and commons at my parents.
