Yes, but if you could do this, you could also just either do a genuine strangle (no cap on profit, you don't care about direction, all that matters is that it moves, because options have fixed loss but no fixed gains) which becomes a no-brainer if it doesn't zigzag, sell the strangle if you think it will zigzag (you get the money upfront, and you get to keep it if it ends up not moving too much), or just select the one correct leg (possibly at half risk instead of full risk, which would have a better risk profile than your suggestion and no need for a zigzag to finalize profit).
