unless that's everything you have in your portfolio, you either have hundreds or nothing

Is it worth it to become a validator? Should I keep my ETH or should i become a validator?

Make damn sure you can work a VPS and protect your keys if you do. It's that or rely on some custodial service. If neither of those are something you can/want to do, just keep them safe on a ledger or whatever.

Try staking on testnet with a goal of learning, then maybe you will feel comfortable doing it in the future. Use it as an opportunity to learn SSH, firewalls, and security. Those are great things to know either way, you can't lose.
